 I got new speakers. The old ones are crap, but because I've been listening to them for so long these new ones sound weird. And I can't tell if it's because these are cheap $20 speakers or if this is what speakers are supposed to sound like.

I'm using speakers from a separate monitor because my current cool monitor doesn't have built in speakers, but the other one does.

WinAmp alone doesn't cover that many kinds of Ipods, but there are plugins that do so. (Their names slip my mind, your google-fu may help you.)

You could grab music from the friends you didn't know you had and throw it on itunes, just like any other mp3.

The most annoying problem with iTunes is that Apple are dicks, and have exclusivity over the mp4 format for music.

Guess what format it converts songs from disks into?

True, true. I used my ipod exclusively for mp3s in the itunes interface, so it didn't bother me at all. My generic brand mp3 player I currently have also sort of doubles as a 4G flash drive.
