Just got word that my grandfather, who raised me from age 6, passed away in his sleep sometime today. I just saw him this past weekend and he looked fine.

Needless to say, I'm going to be gone for a bit. Right now, the only thing holding it together for me is the realization of just how much shit I've got to do as far as funeral planning and settling the estate. When I finally hit a lull where there aren't a million things to get done, I'm probably just going to curl up and bawl.

Why does it seem like so many people are dieing lately? Might have to do with the increased amount of people, but it's still sad. Good luck dealing with that though.

Uncle #1 has skin cancer, leukemia, prostate cancer, and might have lung problems too from fourty some years of smoking. They aren't even sure what to try and treat first.
Uncle #2 won't make the transplant list, now that his liver is past the point of any hope, and he has a staph infection, and has smoked for fifty some years. They are trying to make him comfortable while he dies.
My grandpa had a bale of hay fall on him, and it broke his leg and messed up his back. He won't be able to keep up with the farm anymore, and so his and my grandmas financial situation is pretty bad.
