"( (a2b2)-3 a4)5b6 / more crap" can get very annoying after a while, and that's one of the shorter equations. It's 10th grade, we went over this years ago, damn it.

e, don't look at me like an idiot either, this is the highest level of math the school offers (I believe you guys would call it honors math or something).

Ugh, it's like that every year for me. All math looks exactly the same to me...

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

It's only a sort of rehearsal thing, but it's getting boring fast, I really hope we'll actually start learning something in the near future.

There was no majority in the parliament, so now the un-alligned nationalist racist bastards might be getting a tactical leverage on the other guys.
I tell you, pretty soon Sweden's gonna look like Denmark. I'm pissed of.

Yeah, I saw that. The part that surprised me is that their base of support is in the south, in places like Skane and Malmo (around 10-11% there). They're actually fairly weak in the rural north. What's up with that? Is Skane pretty rural and/or culturally disposed towards conservatism?
Scandinavian politics post-WWII is kind of a blind spot for me.

Slept really well, which is good--but I remembered my dreams in shocking clarity, which was not so good.  Damn you, Rosewood!  Get out of my head :I

Time to invent another imaginary friend, I think, because the last one has clearly been hijacked.

Nah, not conservatism. But Skåne/the south has the highest amount of immigrants in Sweden, so the populist nationalists has an easier time recruiting there. Skåne also has a high farming "tradition", and are as such more disposed to the liberal right (liberal as of Swedish/European standards, that is).
The north doesn't have nearly as high immigration, and furthermore have a firm communist heritage up there, so it's traditionally more leftist/socialist.

And, while this is completely unscientifically based, I expect the closeness to Denmark might have something to do with it, as many people live in Sweden and work over the channel. Those damn Danish, spreading their racist propaganda in my utopia.

Ahh, the "familiarity breeds contempt" explanation. Thanks, I consider myself further educated. Read up a bit and noticed that Skane also has something of a seperatist movement as well--probably having something to do with it being technically part of Denmark for centuries. I know it's always one of the first things I grab in Crusader Kings if I'm playing as Sweden.  :P

Feeling better, but realizing this sucks. I'm going to be feeling 100% by the time I have to work again.

I hate spending my time off sick.

Heh, yeah, but that separatist movement is mostly just comedic relief. Every year when the separatist gather to dig that little ditch between Skåne and Sweden, there's also a bunch of non-Scanians appearing to help them out.
All good fun.

LOL. I can see that. If Floridians tried digging a ditch at their northern border, I'd help out too. With any luck, they'd break loose and float south.  :P

I just made a massive delicious meal and as I sat down to eat it I realized I have to leave to run down to campus and run an errand quick in about ten minutes. Which leaves no time to really eat or enjoy this.

aaaaa

That's why mankind invented refrigeration and the microwave oven. Unless it's a bread product, in which case you're screwed.

Re-heated food sucks, I missed out on dinner last night and had to microwave my burger late at night.  It tasted awful but I was hungry.
