Back when we went to the regional universities' open-doors day, I was told that the group who went to the building shared by biology, geology, and maths, was received by the dean of maths. She asked about whom wanted to get a degree in maths, and one single girl raised her hand. I found it a bit sad, particularily since, by they words, the woman was kind of nice. The one who received us was a gigantic turd.

Also, Matrix.  Why didn't they just exterminate the humans and use geothermal energy?  They've got all those drillbots, might as well put them to good use.

Maybe they are actually very nice robots.

That was what always pissed me off about the Matrix movies. The backstory also cuts off any other explaination.

Rule of Drama? A barren land of robots doing robot stuff may make a good indie film, but not a box-office smasher.

(side note, are there even box-offices any more?)

I'm like Aqizzar's apprentice meme. It's disconcerting, certainly, but a day when I say something constructive is a day wasted, going by my past record, so I'm usually not bothered by it.

I think I might be bringing the tone down a bit, actually.

I just realised how long it's been since we had an RP in FG.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Wait, so... what are all those threads in there then?

I confess I don't go there often.

Well, on the other hand...

I dunno what they're saying about "no stress," though.  Maybe that's a comparative thing.

They probably mean no stress once you're tenured and don't have to care anymore.

Also, that article is about as not written by the people it applies to as those articles saying nerds make the best boyfriends.

I thought they were written by nerds, and thus you could say it sortof applies to them.

That statement was just me punching grammar in the dick and laughing.  That article was totally written by a mathematician who thinks he pulled the wool over everyone's guys.

I kind of feel bad for Aqizzar.  I mean, he's a cool dood and all, but we all get annoyed at memes.  Imagine what it's like for Aqizzar, who is a meme.

Luckily, people finally stopped doing that a while ago.  I don't know if it was because I got kinda pissed about it, or it (that is to say, I) finally got worn out.

Also, Matrix.  Why didn't they just exterminate the humans and use geothermal energy?  They've got all those drillbots, might as well put them to good use.

Because thermodynamics means nothing in Matrix world.  People generate energy, therefor they are a powerplant.
