And even if you win, you'd be committing suicide. It's pretty lose-lose, if you ask me.

Moreover, do you really want to beat the shit out of yourself so badly?

Is it so wrong to want to have someone whom you can commit murder/suicide on and not go to jail for? Just me? Anyone?

I see it as a win/win, myself.

I really doubt the police would accept the explanation, "It's ok, that's my corpse!" when they came to investigate.

Actually, I think that suicide incurs either life in prison or the death penalty in at least one part of the world. You might be put to death for killing yourself.

It's not you though.  As soon as he comes into existence he begins to experience things from a different perspective and make different conclusions.  After a few minutes he can no longer be considered you, just a very similar person.

I think the thing to do if you were making a duplicate of yourself would be to make it the opposite gender.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Unless that's the exact wording in the article, I highly doubt he did. People have been saying such things for years.

Hey there's nothing wrong with that, unless you get yourself pregnant...
I'd hate to see the genetic abomination from hell that comes out of that.
