You'd think so, however, the human brain is configured so that even if the Ego knows that something is a bad idea, it can still be forcefully coerced into acting under the Id's orders.

Still on Freudian theory?  Man, Jung is where it's at.

I woke up this morning, and checked my comp to see my download progress and there was no internet all night, and all I had to do to get it back was reset my router.

Well, I recognise that putting my keys down on my desk and not being able to find them for 10 minutes is retarded.

And yet I can't stop doing it.

Most of Frood Dood's theories have been debunked, but the basic ideas still hold true. It's sort of like Newton's laws of gravity, we know that the principles they're based on just aren't so, but the equations are still close, so we still use them. Anyway, I'm not even trying to be scientifically accurate. Those terms are quite sufficient to get my point across.

Also, there is a wound on my lip. It hurts. Why am I always in pain?

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

No no no, Neurology is where all the hard brain-science is at. Of course, the brain does a pretty awful job of understanding itself, even biologically.

Still, I like the Myer's-Briggs Typology thing, which was made possible by Carl Jung's theories. IN(T/F)P for life, dudes.

So it just dawned on me that my upper back hurts a lot. Like, I feel pain when turning more than 90 degrees from the hip.

Normally I would just attribute this to sleeping absolutely wrong..but I've had pneumonia twice before in my life, and this was the precursor to it, my upper back aching like a SOB.

So I'm hoping I don't wake up tomorrow in agony tomorrow with fluid filled longs. I didn't enjoy the last time.

I feel lonely and lost, like a fictional character without a role to play.
