You deserved it for doing that to your sister.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

Seriously, man.  Why would you do that to someone else's computer?

And then you ruined some CDs on top of that, let me guess, you ruined the Windows installation CD?

Maybe you could replace the hard drive?  I dunno, do hard drives need installation CDs I haven't installed one.

Beneath my skin in the the heart of my soul the blazing passion to create smolders. I have an idea that I really like, that I get giddy about and I have a ton of ideas for. This is something I would be happy to work with.

But I just can't start. Every time the thought of starting enters my mind all that enthusiasm dies and I'm stopped dead in my tracks. I suppose this is similar to a writers block in the sense that I'm hitting a wall in my head here, but it's transparent and I can see the riches that lie ahead. And yet no matter how much I struggle I'm stuck here on this side of the wall.
You just keep going man!  I was struck with an idea for an avatar and I drew it (with the assistance of a line tool for extra smoothness) and I managed to finish it, huzzah!

The passion, the passion.

I found out I can turn on my sister's computer in Safe Mode.
I found a way I can remove everything from the computer by resetting it to factory default.
In the middle of the process... the computer overheated and turned off...
Now the computer won't even turn on and her cd drive ruins all the CDs that go in and out of it.
So close to being able to use the internet at home... so close... :'(

There are no words to describe how massive a tool you are.

I know what you mean... Close enough to taste it, but you just can't make the first step...

Might I introduce you to Ze Frank's Treatise on Executing Your Ideas vs. Brain Crack? It's a segment from a fantastic once-a-day video blog done by a rather intelligent, funny, and talented fellow, so some bits might seem strange (well, they are) but the important parts should be there for you.

EDIT: Same guy, a few years later, on the topic of inspiration and "jumping the gap between 0 and 1": http://blip.tv/file/504712?utm_source=player_embedded. I actually like it better.

Wow, brain crack... that totally makes sense to me now.  No wonder I haven't been able to write, period.  Time to get myself off brain crack, cold turkey style.

Is it just me that thinks the phrase "cold turkey" is ridiculous? For the longest time, I thought it was "whole turkey". It doesn't make much sense, but it makes a lot more sense than "cold turkey".

After a bit of Googling, it appears that the phrase "cold turkey" is derived from heroine withdrawal. Thank you internet, for reminding me what a screwed up language we have.

I know, right?  I had cold turkey on a sandwich today and there was nothing unpleasant about it.

And, I'm randomly sad because I can't sleep and I have church tomorrow :(  Does God WANT me to sleep through church now or something?

I'm sad because Apple just released their new iPod touch, and I might get that in a few months. But I also wanted to get that Aiptek tablet I've been looking at for a while, and I'm kinda cash strapped right now so I probs can only get one. So hard.

And now I just realised how pathetic it all is that I'm stitting here thinking about what expensive product I'll waste my money on next when I don't have much anyway, and especially when I should be working on a project.

So now I'm stuck between three roads, unable to move one way or another, using time I don't have.

I nearly got hit once too. Funnily enough, the guy was picked up by the fuzz a few blocks later.
