I need to moderate This Thread.

 Craaaaaaaaaaaap. I'm not even quite sure how to rebuke some of these. I'm no debater, I'm a mediator.

Do you *NEED* to rebuke them? Since you're (apparently) a moderator, it'd probably be best to stay objective. "Moderator" comes from the word "moderate" after all.

Silly, that's not how to be a moderator! You're supposed to ban people for as long as you can because of anything that could ever be seen as a slight against you, opinions you disagree with, secret rules you made up on the spot, and for not being popular!

Really though, that thread was just crazy with hatedom. I think Duke has made the right call here.

I agree, I was just giving some philosophy. There's really no reason for such threads to exist in the first place, depending on the board I might have simply deleted the thread as soon as I noticed it.

I cannot stand the temperature in this house.

If the air conditioner is off the heat quickly goes up to 80 or 90 degrees, usually muggy too.  As soon as the air conditioner comes on it  drops to around 50.  There's no medium.

It hasn't rained in weeks here, air humidity is down to almost 15%, makes me feel as if I'm sucking in sand when I breathe while I exercise, and I still gotta go back to my uni today because of a paper I need to deliver.

and you set something to turn it on and of rapidly so that it''s on the right fraction of the time to keep the temprature rigth?

Yeah, it has settings, and no, that wouldn't work.

Break half the air conditioner so it only runs half as well, keeping the temperature at a nice state.

Or just wear a heavy coat?

I can't be mad at anything right now, the thermostat was set to 87 degrees in August and it still won't kick on.  If the humidity were any higher I'd drown.
