Ah, but if they don't then there will eventually be one super-entity that plays music way too fucking loud really early in the morning, constantly has barbecues, throws its scraps into your backyard and leaves the front lawn a mess.

Apparently Liam Fox, a government minister here, has called upon shops to ban the new Medal of Honour game since you can play as the Taliban online.

Great.
Next, they will ban Starcraft 2, lest players begin devouring their neighbors and incorporating their DNA.

GAAAHHHH!!!!

ahem...excuse me...I mean to say.....

The Zerg are not Genestealers.

No. But they are rip-offs of them.

And genestealers, in turn, were rip-offs of Alien, so yeah.

In that case, I call upon the Hero of the Emperium, Ciaphas Cain, to defend humanity from Finland.
Even though he'll just run away, and in to the larger problem of robots from an era long forgotten, buried deep underground.

Yes, the problem isn't that it's corrupting the children, the problem is that it's tasteless and it was done for the express purpose of generating controversy and the free publicity that comes with it.  People have been killing American troops as terrorists since the PS2, Medal of Honor just wanted to take it a step further by making them actual real-world bad guys instead of generic terrorists from Notiraqistan, probably because the Medal of Honor franchise has been dead since Call of Duty took over and the monstrosity that was Rising Sun.

I might've got it a bit wrong - Fox's exact wording is

Quote
"I am disgusted and angry. It's hard to believe any citizen of our country would wish to buy such a thoroughly un-British game. I would urge retailers to show their support for our armed forces and ban this tasteless product."
So no official government ban.  Still...

Wait, Fox try's that patriotic, extreme pro-military crap over here as well?

Can't see it getting much, except from White Van Men.

But also Fox News, they did do a report on it.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I think this one is for being "tasteless" rather than being bad for children.  Still odd though.
The english can't ban tasteless stuff, they'd have to ban the whole country :P
