If that was how the sequal (and we know there will be one, that has been confirmed) goes, it would be the most hillarious and awesome sequel ever. But unfortunately from the sounds of it the "sequal" will be only mildly related to the first and so not actually go into much interesting stuff left unlooked at by the first...

Also, who knows, the planet-wide intelligence may be using the na'vi as mere training algorithms for its own neural networks. After all, it is implied that minds (which of course are merely reflections of how their neural networks are trained over their lifetime) can, and are, transfered from a dieing na'vi (or even human) into the superintelligence. After all, keeping a vast neural network consisting of constantly dieing and regrowing vegetation both sentient and sane would require quite a bit of upkeep.

Ye gods, you must hate so many movies. SO MANY.
No. I'm saying that I hate the middle portion of scientific hardness in media. For example, I don't hate Mass Effect for having FTL and Biotics because it justifies it with the existance of Element Zero. Daybreakers has a virus that explodes because of sunlight, and I hate that. Avatar has unjustified human marty sue elven aliens, and I hate that. It has shown technology for constructing beings from the ammino acids up, to justify the Avatars, and I like that. It has unobtainium to use for FTL, and I like that. It has Colonel Miles Quartich, and I love that. It kills Colonel Miles Quartich, and I hate that.
It did take twice as many bow shots, a complete disarming of the mecha weapons, anf almost choking the other remaining main human character to kill him, though.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

TG: just once id like to see dad crap his pants when a kid says theres a vampire in his closet
Speaking of which.

The theatre group at our school last year did a skit involving the 'there's a bogeyman under our bed' thing. It was hilarious. The 'dad' freaks the fuck out, jumps on top of the bed, and calls in the older brother. Some moments were just precious.

(to older son) 'Now- You remember the cabinet I told you never to touch, mate? Right. I need you to go in there, and get Everything you can carry. Including the shotgun. especially the shotgun.
(to younger son) 'What's that smell? Have you been eating in here?'
"I took some chocolate with me to bed"
"YOU BROUGHT CHOCOLATE INTO A BOGEYMAN'S LAIR!?"
(to Younger son) "Do you know how to use one of these? (It's a goddamn pistol) Here's the trigger, right? Just point and shoot. Now- son. If it gets me, I want you to shoot me, in the head, before it drags me under there, ok?"

It was bloody hilarious because the son was about eight, and the older son about fourteen.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I haven't been able to have any nice beer for a week. I've been going to barbecues, and everyone seems to drink stella and calsberg. After being spoilt by real ale, my tongue thinks I'm drinking sheep urine.

Wouldn't getting rid of the daemons first be a far wiser choice? You can hardly get a new fax machine if the electronics store is turned into a torture callibration center by the demonic invaders.

It turns out it wasn't demons. It was, in fact, that ancient, malevolent spirit, called "machinery breaks down after you've been using it for a few years."

Also, I don't know why anyone bothers with faxes anymore, for god's sake. Email is just as good. No one needs to send me a signed copy of anything, anyway.
