I'm going to try and beat Sacred Ground with a Machine gun despite all the guides telling me not to.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

There might come a day in your life that you tell yourself "Heck, I'll just fetch a hair cutting machine and do my own hairwork. It can't be that hard"

Heed my advice: Don't succumb to the temptation. I should know

TBH it was easy most of the time. It's leaving the back of the neck with a more or less decent look what is a pain in the ass. I *think* I have managed, after an hour of efforts, to avoid having it look too botched.
Still, now I resemble Sgt Hartman's poor brother. The one who was so poor that could not afford a hairdresser

Hair cutting machine?

EDIT:

I am sad because I will never have one of these.

I am beginning to question if my roommate has any concept of what a dishwasher is.

Your post raises two possibilities:

a) Your roommate does not wash the dishes.

b) You went to take a shower only to find the drain clogged with discarded food and broken china.

Ahaha. No, I don't even care that much that he doesn't do the dishes; what really pisses me off is that he just leaves everything out. He is too lazy to actually put the dishes in the empty dishwasher, which is actually underneath the counter he was eating on :\

e- Actually he did put dishes in once, but that was right after it had been cleaned so I had to pick out the clean from the dirty when I was unloading. Argh.

Yeah, doing the back is hard.  Clippers are easymode, though.  Just wait until you graduate to scissors.

I'm not coordinated enough to cut my own hair.  I can't get the movements right when I'm looking in a mirror.

That was another thing that made it hard. Eventually I decided to check first, put my finger over the limit of the area I wanted to cut. and then cut everything under it. Using this method I was able to level the hairline at the back of my neck more or less successfully

Shit, I'm barely coordinated enough to cut my own beard.  I trim the long hairs that don't want to cut; I have to put the scissors against my face, then slowly work them out and away to each hair like I'm driving a damn backhoe.

I finally gave up and started using an actual razor and cream, to at least cut the beard off my larynx and cheekbones.  Now I've got red bumps there from not shaving there in six years.

I was on twocansandstring and put up a question where I asked people to tell me a story.

One of the stories was a huge monolithic block of text.  My eyes were bleeding at the end.  If that weren't bad enough, it was "erotic"

Warning:  Technically NSFW

I say technically because I doubt anyone looking over your shoulder could make heads or tails of it, it'd probably look like you ate an encyclopedia and threw up all over the monitor.  Still has bad words, and will put a lot of strain on your eyes.
