Besides environmental factors they could be perfectly justifiable defects that the owner has no control over.

Yea, the one that I have at dads is at least 5 years old, and it still works fine. Two of the controllers/controller cords aren't working too well though, and they don't make Xbox controllers anymore.

My gamecube was dropped 7 times, had milk spilled directly in it, Tea, and was unplugged from the wall while running more times than I could count, and only died last year. Now we have a wii and it's boring as hell. Everything is so geared towards the notion of exercise it's less of a game system and more of a tiny workout center.

Gamecubes are indestructible. Damn thing is a brick with a game console inside it.

Also, I inherited two Husky MP2500 handheld... err... arm-attached computers. They act like old IBM PC clones, running DOS 6. They can survive being run over by a truck.

PRE-POST EDIT:

Heh, psi-ninjaed.
Yeah, the Wii is boring as hell. Damn you casual gamers!

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Toony. I ran over my gameboy advance twice, with my dads truck.

All nintendo products are notoriously indestructible. I've seen a gameboy advance that worked after literally having a bomb go off and bring down the building it was in. The Xbox... not so much. It's known for having a stupidly high chance of just randomly breaking without any harm done to it.

Which is funny because I dropped my Game Boy Advance on a pillow and the screen cracked down the middle, wiping everything blank to the left of the crack.

I once saw a laptop screen just randomly crack and sorta explode.

Good times.

That should change soon with Nintendo being the only company right now actually making games.

I had an exam today. I think it went well. It was (very unexpectedly) easy. However, I'm worried because (paradoxically) the questions were short and easy. In particular, they were lists of stuff. Since they were random tidbits from a lot of notes, however, it was quite hard to remember every single element. Most people I have talked with have put on a couple and called it a day. This was half the exam. The problem is that, whereas I think IŽll pass it either way, depending on how anal (or not) are they in the correction, I could get a barebones pass, or a relativedly high mark.
