You've obviously never seen a cigarette commercial.

Or a Superbowl commercial.

Or a beer commercial. Seriously. It's as if the beer exudes hormones that make voluptuous women want to give themselves to you as soon as you sip it.

Nothing beats the Axe commercials though.
Especially considering that the stuff actually smells horrible.

It's not that bad, it's just that the smell is way too strong. I prefer it when they wear Rexona instead.

(Is that right? Do you "wear" deodorant? I have no idea.)

Yeah, that's the term for it. But the problem with Axe is that the people who use it don't know when to stop spraying. It is also half the fault of the bottle, which is kinda fun to spray.

I think it's just spray deodorant in general is more strong than stick.
I use Tom's Lavender.
Not very manly...

I saw a terrible commercial for Folger's. This girl smells coffee, wakes up, dad tells her she got home pretty late, she says her boyfriend proposed. Yay, happy ending.

...what?!
This commercial is idiotic! It's making the totally spurious implication "If you drink a certain type of coffee, your daughter's boyfriend will marry her". It's just stupid.

Just saw that one a couple minutes ago, didn't even know the commercial was for folgers coffee or even what it was a commercial for.

I guess if you can use it as a flamethrower, it's pretty manly.

I've seen commercials, but they usually at least make some half-hearted attempt at advertisement. For example, a beer commercial might boast of its bold taste while vast hordes of voluptuous female paratroopers bombard the hapless male in the background or whatnot, or a cigarette might advertise its smooth flavor. This has nothing. The entire commercial is dedicated to the notion that Folger's coffee will somehow cause your daughter to find the perfect boyfriend. It's just so pointless.

And I bet it's pretty effective, too. Ugh.

No, see, cigarettes have never ever ever advertised their smooth flavor. Every cigarette commercial is a paean to some kind of outdated notion of rugged manliness or the heights of luxury, in which no one actually smokes a cigarette.
