I see fantastically useless patterns in many things >_>

Most of them don't have a point, no.

Julia-sets are essentially useless patterns (okay they aren't but they are useless for me) and one of the things I could enjoy for hours. So keep enjoying the patterns you see, and maybe some of them will turn out useful.

I had a really profound dream last night.

I went to hell, in a kind of Dante's inferno thing. I even had the guide and everything, who told me what was going on. Thing is- When I asked about the traditional hell, it was all wrong. Adultery is a human invention. Gambling, Abortion, all of it. That's our own shit to deal with. The only thing you get punished for is killing, because the only certainty in life death. Tax can be avoided.

But, the wierd part was, it was killing EVERYTHING. I was walking through and saw guys getting squished like ants, A girl got hit by a gigantic rolled up newspaper, and all that. I saw farmers get shot. The worst part I saw was the boys who pulled wings off butterflies. Apparently this happens until you've lived out every life you took. There was even a guy who we sat and watched as he got his throat slit. Again. And again. And again. Turned out he worked in an abbotoir. So yeah, by this time I was kind of freaking out in my mellow kind of dream-state way, so he took me to a different section.

And meanwhile he was talking to me. Always telling me things, always answering my questions. He looked kind of like Mr. Wednesday, I guess. But it was way too reasonable to be dreamlike. It was freaky. For instance, I asked him what the worst death there was around- And he said it was e-bullies that caused kids to commit suicide. And so I was all like 'What? No way'. So he took me there, obviously. It was honestly horrible. These kids are sitting on the computer, and they read something, and then they just stand up and turn around. But the worst part was their eyes. They flicked around, and stared at me and pseudo-wednesday - As though they knew what they were gonna do, but they just couldn't stop it. And they couldn't control their hands as they grabbed razor blades or hung up nooses, and they just looked so panicked...
Bleh. I can't talk about this part anymore...

Anyway- this is the really, or secondmost sad part. We walked past what I'd call a doorway, and I saw a panther. and it ran up to the doorway, and then... I dunno. Just looked at me. With really sad eyes. And then it kept on running. And then a gazelle, well, I'd call it a gazelle, but it looked really predatory. Like- Forward pointing horns, sharp teeth. That shit. It chased after it. And I looked back at the guide and woke up. But then I was lying in bed having this really profound moment, because I KNEW that the panther was going to get caught... It didn't even have the chance that the gazelle would have in the wild- If panthers hunted gazelle, that is. It was a dream after all.

But yeah. It kind of made my morning really morose.

 but I need to throw in my two cents on something.

Love is not a logical system where, when the person you love walks away from you, you can easily just say "I don't care, and I'll go hunt down the next one."  If you really loved someone, shouldn't you be attached to them?  Shouldn't you be heartbroken when they leave you?  He acts as though I'm unreasonable.  He acts as though I shouldn't feel this way.

My heart was broken once.

I was able to drive away at top speed.

I hardly looked back either.

The thought is "If she can so easily let me go,
 then this is a hollow love."

Make a mockery of me?

I'm sad because my lazy fuck of a brother can't lift a fucking finger to help around the house. Dishes? Me. Bringing down the trash (we live in a condo)? Me. Cooking for him when parents are out(?!)? Me. And whenever he gets forced into doing something, he says that he's doing his homework, while he's actually just flirting with his ugly-ass girlfriend.

Yes, I've had a bad day.

That post has an interesting example of how heaven/hell might work. Imagine, if you will, if heaven was the opposite. You'd experience all the happiness and joy you brought onto others. If that's the way things work then the wait through hell would be completely worth it.

In that case, it would take a massive amount of time to get out of hell. We all kill huge numbers of insects every day without even realizing, not to mention things like mowing the grass or removing termite infestations.

when i was younger we captured a little mole. being kids we didn't really think you could kill a mole by burying it in loose dirt, we thought it'd just pop out because of their ability to dig, apparently.
