Ya'll make me depressed.

If I could actually for one time in my life(not lying or exaggerating) TRY at something,  I could probably do good in school. Too bad doing so is impossible to me. I just can't care, no matter how much I try, I just can't give a damn. And as such my future winds down to doing some bullshit job that will cause me to blow a hole through my head within a year.

Or "Plan B", if I have no other choice.

Actually, i felt sad while watching a movie, but thats about it.

This leaving me feeling an emotion i can only describe as Nostalgia. It fells like I've lost something, and I've forgotten what it was.

I usually have the forever option triggered whenever I sign in.

And again it happened just after posting this a moment ago. Here's what I keep getting:

And I remain connected nonetheless. My message just doesn't send, and whatever I typed gets lost.

Yeah, I got back this afternoon, only to find that apparently I had to go out and shop, take pictures of cows for our town fair, and overall bore myself. I get back in the late afternoon, and I find that the endless drizzle (YUS! IT RAINING!) has soaked into the wiring in some random part of our house, and therefore the section of the house with the modem and wireless router. After some fiddling with the fuse box, I decided that the problem was IN the fuse box, so I've got to take the motherfucker apart tomorrow and sort that shit out.

In the end, I just decided to run an extention cable from our UPS to a powerpoint on the other side of the house. Finally got internet, logged on in glee, only to find that I missed all of my friends on steam. - Which was basically what I've been looking forward to for most of the weekend.


And the weekend was quite disappointing.

Lucky bum.  I'm tiny, have gigantic nerd-glasses, and used to cry at the drop of a hat.  I was pretty much the go-to person to make fun of/bother/smack around for a while.

Just had a car crash.

Really minor one, he rear-ended us and the trailer-connecty-thingy saved the car from all but superficial damage. I wasn't that shocked, which surprised me. Actually I was more down about it then anything else. Kinda boring day in close proximity to assholes.

I feel sad right now due to an accumulation of petty things over a long period of time that I can't help but dwell on.

I'm not an extremely lazy person, unless it comes to things I find pointless and yield no reward. I'm hammered over this pretty steadily, as I tend to fail classes I'm not interested in but ace the ones which I see myself studying in high-school.

Throughout most of last year, I had 3 classes which I found utterly pointless, all taught by the same teacher. She was not a bad teacher, which made things worse. This being junior-high, I was forced into taking every class the school offered. Sewing, Health, and Art were the ones I figured I'd refuse to do work in. So long as most of my other subjects remained above ~70 and my core classes (Math/English/Science/Social Studies) were in the 90s, I wouldn't have any issues.

Well, I went through with my plan, and I passed, but I caught a lot of flak from my Art/Sewing/Health teacher. Things like, "You're squandering all your potential!" and numerous phone-calls home. It probably didn't help how apathetic I acted the entire year, stoically facing her down as she ranted about my future (or lack thereof) and how I was failing such simple classes.

Now, it's important to note that I wasn't just sitting around doing nothing in these classes: I treated them as spares. I didn't do any art/health/sewing, but I did do homework from my other classes. Well, at least until she forbid it — then I really did do nothing, mostly out of spite.

It's ridiculous when you're sent to the office for working out math problems... but I digress, this is turning into a bit of a rant. As for why I'm sad?

I selected French as the course I could afford to fail this year. Now, my French teacher is a really nice guy, so it bothers me to see him get bent out of shape at my refusal to do homework, but I don't actually care enough to do it. At least, I didn't, but I've had a bit of a revelation and now I feel like utter crap. He gave me this lecture about how he was simply 'doing his job' and such, and it didn't really affect me at all until today.

So I figured I'd re-evaluate my position on this 'strategic laziness' that I've adhering to. I dug out my French homework determined to actually try and realized I had absolutely no idea what to do. I'm completely baffled -- I have no idea how to conjugate these verbs or whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing... but that's not even what I'm sad about.

I don't really mind not knowing; this both frightens and saddens me. Usually if I see questions I can't answer, I'm determined to figure them out. Not so with this. I'm usually apathetic about most things, but the accumulation of knowledge is something that I've always held dear. The realization that my apathy has spread to even this saddens me greatly.

It's a minor thing, but it makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life, and contemplating that question leads to further sadness.

Strangely, it's the small things that make me sad nowadays. I guess I've gotten used to the 'bigger' things. I don't even care about being socially ostracized/ignored/whatever it is in class -- I don't even give it a second thought. A year ago it was all I thought about.

It's the, "Care enough to feel sad, but not enough to change it," issue that a lot of people seem to face.
