I'm playing ASCII sector and my character is getting fairly successful. I get a mission that sends me to Primeval 1.
My ship is still the same from when I had started. I go over to Primeval 1 and immediately I get attacked by a pirate. I continue on course because I thought there'd be a hunter/confed/militia there to kill him.
Then I see another pirate... and a third one...
I died.

Got punched in the face by a Thai boxer.

Come back from hospital, superglued my face together, and he broke three teeth.

You're going to have to stop cutting to the chase Jakkarra. What's the whole story?

That seems massively unfair. What're you doing about it?

Poured water down your neck?  In what context?  The story you've told so far is that 1) he did something annoying but nonviolent, 2) you responded with violence, 3) he defended himself.

not really justified in any situation

You're not being imaginative enough, then.  For all we know it was an accident, or a crowded party, or a wet t-shirt contest.

A nice-looking Indian man (quite possibly a professor) happened to be walking by while I was swearing off steam after a math test: i.e. "YOU DON'T NEED ARC-LENGTH PARAMETRIZATION OR PLANE CURVATURE EQUATIONS TO TAKE THE GODDAMNED CURVATURE BECAUSE YOU'RE FINDING THE BLOODY ZEROES, BITCHES!!"

...

Not the greatest moment of my life.  At least he seemed to find it funny, rather than horrifying.

Sorry, but you grabbed a Thai boxer, regardless of provocation.  Why would you do that?

Where does an 800-pound gorilla sleep, and all that.

A similar but more bizarre case:

A few years ago my brother poured Pepsi on me.  No reason, no explanation, he just looked over and started pouring a can of Pepsi on me.

It was probably because that's the only use for Pepsi, unless you like a little water with your sugar.

I'd have bust out laughing too.

I wish I knew alot about math like you Vector, because everyday I feel like a really dumb person. Even if all your math doesn't have a purpose, it can still impress people like me.
