I've done nothing to them to cause this. :\

Then maybe you should.
...b-but the outside... It's so bright. ;_;

You gotta move up to northern Montana, where it's sunny 50 days a year.

I decided to gen a few worlds on DF and note the people who have 100+ notable kills.
First world got 11. Most kills were elves. The only non-elf kills were a dragon and a giant.

The second world had none. Most kills were non-notable animal kills. :( That made me sad. It was in the Age of Heroes, too!

EDIT:
My mom was letting our dog out in the backyard.
I see Lucy, our cat who keeps running outside, sneak behind a table.
"Mom, wait!" I say.
My mom opens the door and the dog goes out.
Lucy sneaks up behind mom, who isn't closing the door because the dog wanted back in.
"Mom, behind you!" I say.
She continues to look at the dog, baby talking to her.
Lucy runs outside.
I complain to my mom about how she wasn't listening to me.
Our dog chases Lucy, who jumps onto the fence to our driveway.
I go out to get her, but Lucy jumps off the fence.

Damn it.

Australia. It radiates both sunlight and barely restrained malice.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I mean, in what circumstance are you in that you would have to remain such a high magnitude of verbosity that you might inadvertantly damage your throat?

But you raised an undead monstrosity in the process!

I've been trying to create a fort that exists at the second to bottom Z-Level of a map, and it's been going poorly. Managed to dig all the way down there, create the ~all~ the rooms, including crap like noble rooms and stuff, made channels for magma and water. I just wanted to create a way for the water to flow, so I could power some waterwheels for various pumps.  So I smooth and fortify one of the walls at the side of the map...

Only to be met with a torrent of water flowing through it. I managed to wall up before the whole bottom fort was flooded, but lost my dining room, all my workshops except for the Kennels and Magma powered stuff, and all of my residential housing. (The nobles places are fine, which only serves to piss me off more.) Several Dwarves are starving in rooms that are blocked on all sides by water, but hopefully I can tunnel above or below and get them out.

Also the deaths look like they've started the beginnings of a tantrum spiral. :/

And why is this in the sad thread?
I'd say that sounds pretty awesome.
