almost
I stopped feeling a while ago... :-\

And death's never really been a big deal to me either, so eh. Maybe it would be worse if I had finished the books he had written, but then it would just be light disappointment I couldn't read anymore.

For anyone who read Raising Steam- Terry was practically dead then.

His scribe just doesn't have his magic.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I liked some of his books when I was a kid, not so much later on.
But even if I disliked a lot of his books, it's still sad to know the guy who wrote The Amazing Maurice is dead. :(

It's sad, but considering Pratchett's position on euthanasia and his disease I think he would have wanted it this way.

Small Gods is my favourite, although I haven't read Night Watch yet and a lot of people really like that.

Yeah, the article said he was campaigning for assisted suicide anyways. Its still sad age and such caught up with him though. Small Gods was my favourite as well, although Night Watch[Or at least the one where Vimes ends up traveling back in time, can't remember if that one's Night Watch or not] was the only Discworld book I stopped reading halfway through because I actively disliked it.

The only one I didn't really like was the Colour of Magic, since he hadn't really found his voice then.

I'm sure he'll get his chance to teach Death how to play bridge, now.

This makes me sad.

I like all of it. The Colour of Magic I enjoyed mostly by thinking of it as a parody of generic fantasy, which it was excellent at being. Everything else is excellent at many more things, though, so my opinion is still that it's not as good as the rest.

Crap crap crap, that too much good people dying since January, and I feel like hibernating.
Give up on life, become taco in three easy steps:
1) Give up on life
2) grab quilt/blanket/duvet/throw
3) Wrap self up in whatever you grabbed as tightly as possible and just lay there.

Dude no, you need to cover yourself in spicy salsa and rice, first. Ideally some black beans, too.

Assignment due in thirty-four minutes.

Tried to start it.

Couldn't.

Guess I'm failing this one.

My favorite is Reaper Man, although Small Gods is a close second.
It's weird, getting into bed and continuing to read a book that you were reading yesterday, knowing that the author just died.

Today I went out for a walk.
I was going to walk to a cemetery, but I don't know where any are nearby so I didn't... That was disappointing.

And then I got home and my mom started screaming at me and my room is trashed because apparently she thought I was going to kill myself so she ransacked my room looking for a suicide note.

Edit:
I'll add some quotes from her lecture.
Quote
Teenage boys who have depression are the most likely group to commit suicide!
Yes, I too like to yell false and irrelevant information at people! (Yes, she knows I'm trans...)
Quote
Just pray, and you will hear the voice of God and he will send angels to protect the ones you love the most!
I'll add that to my list of powers, right under "Lay on Hands" (Or as they say in the church, "The laying on of hands". It's the same thing though...)
Quote
Since I thought you were dead for an hour, you should go spend next Friday volunteering at the food bank to make up for it!
I don't even... What?!?

EDIT: And.. yeah super wrongheaded manner. What the fuck, Kaladin's mom?
