I just feel broken. Broken and scarred and hurt. Everything aches, all the time. And I just don't want to hurt anymore. All I want is to stop hurting, even for a little while.

Also, my dad apparently stalks my forum profile... :-\

:(

I know that feeling, but I'm lucky and it's usually because I'm being dumb not because I have actual problems, so it goes away after a while. Good luck.

And an aside addressed to Kal's dad, against the possibility that he's reading this:
Hi! This is one of the least harmful and most generally supportive communities on the 'net. Have a nice day!

Hi Kal's dad! I'm joining the band wagon.

Also, safest place on net, if you stay out of Mafia :P

Went to pet one of my dogs and felt something hard on their back
There was also a large gash
Called my mom (family medical expert, worked in a medical field hopefully knew what to do)
She checks it out and pulls a screw out of the dogs back....
This isn't good, at all

How did that happen? Is the dog usually an outside dog or...?

And yeah, not good.

Mafia's alright. People die occasionally, but the games I've read over are mostly rational discussion.

Well we let her, and the other dogs, out in the back yard to do their business
We think she might have ran into a loose screw on the porch or some other thing out there.
Good news, it didn't hit anything important as far as we can tell, missed the spine and all.
Put antibiotics and roved the screw.

Also: Hi Kal's dad!
This is one of the few places on the internet I have seen which can handle a religious debate with out flame wars, it's safe to say this is a mild place.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

You don't know that, however :P
Nor do I think the subtle reference, which seems to be hidden in the imprint here, is...obvious at all.

...Also my wording is messy. :'(

Hello, Kal's father! You've raised an awesome person, by all accounts.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My laptop is going to receive professional treatment, and if they can't fix it then it will have to be replaced, which may or may not be financially feasible. In the meantime, my folks have lent me one of their laptops, so I'm not completely doomed, but all my art stuff and schoolwork is on the one that's broken down. If worse comes to worst I hope at least the hard drive is still intact.

And not to mention they are both being pissy and yelling at each other
Just great

Oh crap, I forgot about the stupor bowl. It's a family tradition to do the most antithetical thing to it on the day, which is often a Doctor Who marathon, but perhaps, here on my own, not giving a crap and just browsing the forums/working on schoolwork all day is better.

Also, can totally sympathize with having to work and listen to yelling and tension on the day of a house party.
