And it's almost Christmas break

Good friend of the family passed away this morning as said by his daughter. :'( He was also my dentist. But otherwise, an awesome person.
We were with him a few days ago before my parents brought him to the hospital due to complications that had risen.
Will miss him tons.

I can't sleep because I'm having a bit of an anxiety attack... I keep feeling like one of my parents is going to burst through the door and start yelling at me to get out of bed. I guess having it happen at least once, usually three times every morning for almost three weeks is getting to me...
I can't even open the door without panicking a little, because the sound of the doorknob turning freaks me out.

And, I'm sorry for you Tiruin. :(
*Hugs*

What to do... remake Chartered Waters in Python? Continue working on it in C++? Finish some other half-done project I have lying around? @_@

Hey, at least you have identifiable projects. Mine are more like shattered remains, mixed in with piles of uncommented spaghetti. It doesn't help that a large number of files have gotten lost as I tried to move projects between computers while also keeping them organized and tidy.

So how is it meant to be pronounced? I always pronounced it the same as I would 'borough', since they have the same root as far as I know.

Caz pronounces it correctly: Enbraaaa. It does indeed have the same route and Pittsburgh should be pronounced the same way as it was named by a Scottish fellow.

I should add that I send my condolences and comforts to the saddened folk.

The irony of having time but not the will to work on stuff! :(

He was also my dentist. But otherwise, an awesome person.

Was the implication here intentional?

Milngavie and Kirkcudbright can be confusing to foreigners. Though I once had an American ask me about 'Eden-burg'. I was confused.

If you haven't, you should find and read an Irish play called 'Translations' by Brian Friel. It's about loss of cultural meaning through linguistic change, among other things, and there's a monologue toward the end about "Tobair Vree" that's very similar to your David's Mill. Can't find the exact monologue online at the moment, but it makes me sad every time I read it.

Oh ._.
Nah, that's just my messy wording showing. He's an awesome dentist, too.

Car was absolutely dead this morning. Engine didn't even try to turn over when I put the key in. Just...nothing. Thankfully, a co-worker was able to cover my shift, but I hate missing days, especially when I'm not (very) sick.

That sounds so far up my street it's practically at my front door. I will search for it, many thanks.
