I've spent the last week falling into old habits of procrastination again. Mount and Blade is way too engaging despite the degree of tedium that takes hold once you've got into the swing of things. I'm pretty much going to have to swear off it for the rest of the week.

My little brother went camping with his school yesterday, and today it is supposed to snow at least 25cm, and drop to -30°C for the rest of the week.

Well, yeah. I've never played the previous games, heard some mixed things about them, but I looked at this and thought "Hey that looks kinda cool."
Also I asked a friend who had the game about it and he was so engrossed in the thing he couldn't even stop long enough to give me a real description. I asked him if you could be a dick to NPCs and he said you could at least tell your fellow cliché saviours of the world to fuck off... but I haven't had that dialogue option appear even once.

At least the multiplayer is surprisingly fun, even if it was laggy as heck when I played yesterday.
Not really worth the seventy bucks I paid for the game, though. At least I can return it within 7 days. (Thanks MZ!)

It seems like there is just no way my computer will emulate Dreamcast. And I've had it set on all sorts of weird options that I don't really understand but that the tooltips say result in increased speed. My computer is such a toaster.
