The man gets up from his knees, and sticks out his hand.

The shadowy figure looks down upon the mans hand. "I don't see the reasoning behind this, detective."
"Does there need to be? I don't find reason for your actions."

The shadowy figure doesn't respond for a long time, then finally replies:
"Very well then, partner."
The man smiles, opens the apartment door and leaves, his Duster Coat flowing in the wind of the cold night.
