So... Shoes, sandals, slippers, or bare feet?

I tend to just wear socks, because boots are needed to go outside, but I don't want to wear them inside.

Loafers. Don't have the problems of shoes or boots, because no laces. Don't have the problem of slippers, because no falling off your feet. Don't have the problems of sandals, because your feet don't get that dusty yucky feeling from being part-bare. Don't have the problems of bare feet, because stepping on rocks doesn't hurt.
I have three pairs of loafers, for different occasions.

My sads: The boy I've been worried about, my co-worker's son. I haven't heard if he ever regained consciousness during the weekend, but I got the news that he had a stroke today. :(

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

After every Summer I end up so used to my steel-toed work boots that I can barely walk in my shoes again afterwards. Which is strange since it isn't that hard of a transition when I go from shoes to boots.

That's probably because boots are inherently superior, and you should wear them all the time all the time.

Not biased at all, nope.

(I don't even own shoes anymore)

My motorcycle boots are about 14 years old, and squeek like clown shoes when I walk.  I'm hoping to find the time to go out and replace them this weekend.

I'm a boot man during winter, though mine are a heavy-duty waterproof material-clings-to-foot deal, and I need them to live up in the Appalachians. I came up here without them, and nearly got frostbite walking to the store during the first heavy snowfall.

LOAF. ERS.
They're dressy, comfortable, take less than a quarter of a second to take on and off (I don't even notice I've put them on sometimes), you don't have to memorize laces, durable, can get muddy without taking weeks to clean, they are warm in the Canadian winter and cool in the summer, they're awesome.

I've got some loafers by this brand, though I can't find mine on that website; it's the right logo, right name, but I can't find the shoes there. I guess it's similar to the Steady model, but padded.

I don't even own laces, or heck, velcro anymore.
