I'm going to be home alone tomorrow (with the exception of my brother), and somehow I wish I'd have accepted the offer of my grandparents to come watch us instead of denying it...

I just feel like I never do anything except sit at the computer, which is true and it makes me feel bad. Eeeck >.<

This is not the worst pain ever, but it's certainly bad enough to make me wonder what the hell I ate.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My computer has messily shat itself and died, necessitating another full reinstall of Windows. Unfortunately, I cannot find my cd key :|

Windows doesn't require the CD key to use.

Ugh, The Giver movie is going to suck. They've introduced a villain, and made Jonas a teenager who will probably be in a love plot with Rosemary.

A shitty movie from a shitty book. Sounds appropriate.

I've never got the opportunity to read the book past the first chapter or two ("We have that book at home, let's go"); From the little I know the advertisements look pretty accurate.
Which means that I know nothing about it, basically.

I thought that the book was fine, but if that is true about the movie then I think it is defeating a lot of that book's purpose. There was no "Big Bad" card-carrying villain in the book - if anything, ignorance and complacency were the villains. I also really really hope that there won't be a love story of any kind; but there probably will be. :-\

y u do dis silly moviemakers

I didn't even need to see the full ads. All I saw was the banner ad things that show a still image and I knew immediately it would = suckage.

Also SAWWAS. That is an interesting thing ^ up there :P

As for my sads, I had a few ideas for things today that I didn't do because I know I would probably abandon them immediately because I do that a lot.
One was a "Cooperative Bay12 Bad Fanfiction" thread, the other was a Roll to Space Cadet game that would have had the players first mission face them off against Hitler's mustache, a parasite that took over Adolf's body and mind and is now Nazi-ing up a developing civilization.

Pfeh, all these types of movies suck until proven otherwise.

Name me *one* *good* movie from a book, and we could probably name another 10 that sucked horses for every one good'un.

Movies are severely limited in areas where books succeed in.

Visuals, special effects, and voices are the only thing going for movies, IMO.
