More sad things: I had a nightmare, but it's one of those ones where you wake up and realize that reality is actually worse. And the forum is acting weird on me, dropping out for a minute or so at a time every now and then.

Fine, I'll elaborate even more. In this situation, where instead of contributing in any way to said thread, and instead restraining myself and not making things worse by contributing regardless of whether I thought I was in the right or not, I acted better than the people who did, but in no way do I consider myself superior to them, just I think my actions were better than theirs in that situation.

In a way, but the element of the dream that made it nightmarish is one that I try to keep out of mind most of the time.

I can understand Reasy. I remember making a thread about my vivid recurring nightmares that mirror my failings in life somewhere around here.

Nightmares I despise are ones that end on a scare that's actually happening, and it's what woke you up.

On the note of dreams that suck; I suppose dreams that require a goal to be met to allow you to wake up are dreams I despise most.

Simply put, it's like being trapped in a game against your own will. It's rather exhausting as well, rendering the +/- 8 hours of sleep meaningless.

Even worse, they're annoying puzzles that are more like being a freaking Sherlock Holmes to solve it in order to win; except it's more a puzzle or a case that has to be solved. In other words, it's like playing and beating IWTBTG in order to wake up. And this is almost every night too.

It doesn't help that it gets silly in spots, or that you can hear the waking world interlaced into the dream as well. You know it gets bad when you wake up a couple hours after your alarm goes off.

You might want to learn lucid dreaming (or just noticing you're dreaming).

It helps if you can go "Whoa, I'm dreaming! *woosh (the sound of flying away through a suddenly non-existent roof)*"

Of course, before you do that, make sure you're really dreaming.

I had a really fucked up nightmare last week where I killed someone by holding their head over a candle.  That would probably qualify as the worst dream I've ever had.

Also, holy hell you guys generate a lot of drama.
