Friend's car is dying. I might be able to connect him to somebody who can buy it despite it being a POS at this point. Would cost more than it is worth for him to fix it, but if somebody owned a body shop....

Whole thing is a clusterfuck.

Or you're underplaying the importance. It is a serious matter, not something trivial.
I just feel ridiculous about making people worry when I haven't actually cut myself.
Anyways shutting up now.

Found out my cat is dying.

After the last one died in September, I can't even.

Both never even reached one year old

:( You have all of my sympathy.
Give them lots of hugs, love, drinks of milk and comfort in their final days. I don't know what else to say. *e-hugs*

Because of the bloody intrusive thought. We're countering it given that you either lack ways on how to counter it yourself or informing you fully on the consequences of your choice so you'll have an informed decision instead of 'oh let's do this because [haha whim]'

LET'S COMPARE EVERY STUDENT'S WORTH TO EVERY OTHER STUDENT AND JUDGE THEM BY THAT! THAT WORKS! :D
Well, that does work. At comparing people to each other. You can tell just by qualifications what percentile of skill at [subject] someone has.
The problem is that everyone is expected to be in the top 10% or however it is gradated.

That... would actually be kinda' crappy at comparing people to each other, since the comparison isn't occurring to a baseline. Top 10% could be completely incompetent (everyone else being worse =/= them being good), or be only so marginally better than the top 50% (or everyone, period) that it doesn't make a functional difference in qualification or skill. That sort of comparison is just... not good. At anything except causing a high stress environment (at least until sufficient pressure is brought about by the group that everyone starts underperforming, anyway, which I've seen happen :V).

LET'S COMPARE EVERY STUDENT'S WORTH TO EVERY OTHER STUDENT AND JUDGE THEM BY THAT! THAT WORKS! :D
Our graduation grades work like that. You have your class get a rating of 1-100 based on the number of A's - E's in it. (we don't have F). Then the individual gets a rating from 1-225 or something based on how well you did compared to the others in the class. Then there's a massive test and the individual's test results are modified by his ratings through his classes.

Is how we calculate OP.

Details have emerged about yesterday's suicide. Apparently he wasn't a student here, but that just makes it even more troubling.
