A guy who lives above a relative of mine is having a psychotic episode. This happens most years: He'll come out of hospital, continue taking his medication for a while, stop taking them, slowly get worse, do something stupid and get sectioned again. He isn't very popular in the area because he can be manipulative, threatening, and has stolen things from most of his neighbours. While spending the last couple of days at said relatives house we could clearly hear him ranting and crashing around all day and night. I feel really sorry for him and think he ought to have better medical care. He keeps shouting that he wants a cuddle or as if arguing with someone. His care workers know he isn't on his meds, neighbours have complained, but they are waiting for him to throw himself in front of a car again or similar.

If you called, could you get them to pick him up sooner? It might be better to do that before he hurts himself.

What? I was only commenting that your sigs said hello to each other, and I only just noticed.

I wasn't insinuating anything else.

I already explained that I'm straight AND they're 15, and so under the age of consent in most countries. Including the one I'm in.

I realised this a while ago but it only hit me today, possibly because I'm slightly drunk and my inhibitions are down so I can toy with thoughts and emotions freely.

All of my friends are displosable and none of them really know me. I wear a mask all the time and noone has ever seen me without it. I doubt anyone ever will, I am surrounded by people who care for me greatly, yet I feel incredibly alone.

Nietzsche wrote about that - we wear masks all the time; whoever we talk to, we have a mask we put on for them.

The key thought he came up with is that not only is there nothing wrong with that, it is literally necessary - it would be wholly impossible not to wear a mask.

Others beside me have called already and people have been to check on him. I realise I'm not a doctor and if they think he's doing acceptably then it's hard to argue otherwise, but if the past is anything to go on it won't be long until he forces their hand. I suspect it has something to do with the almost complete lack of beds for mental health patients at the moment.

Dammit, if there's a forum where you can bury a still-kicking comment, it will be Bay12!

Let's get our shovels, people.

If there's a forum where you can revive the rotting remains of a comment, it's Bay12!  Let's get our wizard hats, people.  XD

Hey, don't speak ill of the dead!

And no people, no. Let's not forget that for something to be revived, it first must be killed. So, whilst it may seem like we could cut out the middle man, I don't think you can...For it to rise from the grave, it must first be buried, so get your damn shovels.
