Bloody hell. Tomorrow's expected to be 97-100 F tomorrow here (37-38 C) by noon. I think I want to be in a cave or in the ocean before 3.

You lucky bastards, we've been having revenge of the winter for the past week with rains (there was even snow one day someplace near), strong winds and generally low temperatures. And to think it was 20-something celsius past Saturday when I went swimming.

Fucking batshit insane weather.

You lucky bastards, living in places where it isn't so hot you can't go outside for ten minutes without getting sunburns.
I have sunburns. :x

Over here, it's mid-sixties Fahrenheit, according to the converter. It's also raining so hard there are currently countrywide anti-flooding measures being taken.

Wait, that was supposed to be sad thread? Dammit.

I much prefer the cold. I've been camping for 2 weeks in -10 weather, and stayed in Idaho for a month during a particularly bad winter. I can put some layers on and still do stuff, and if I get really active I can even take some off. It's also much easier to sleep when it's cold, since I can bundle up with a bunch of blankets and be really, really comfortable. When it's hot, I can't do shit without spacing out or getting tired, and I spend hours each night trying to lay in a comfortable position.

You can wear as many layers as you want, but you can't exactly take off more when you're practically naked and still miserable. Having snow blocking everything and ice on the roads sucks, but I wouldn't be jealous of this weather either.

Yea, I prefer the cold too. As you say, more blankets can happen. Less skin can, too, but most people don't like that for some reason :P

Yes, that is the truth. It is easier to get warm than it is to be cool.

Also heat messes with me and I just effectively non-functional as a member of society. Thinking isn't a thing that happens any more. And then hay fever of course coincides with the warm weather and overall it's not a good time.

I've recently been taking medication that makes me photo-sensitive, which is yet another reason to fear the sun.

It's around 82f/27c here.

I actually wish it was warmer. It's a bit strange but I've really started to prefer warm temperatures.

I'm so tired of everything.
I'm tired of doing everything for everyone, and being called selfish when I'm too exhausted to move.
I'm tired of everything I say being used against me, even a simple aside or joke.
I'm tired of watching every single thing I do to not disappoint people.
I'm tired of having to suppress every emotion and thought, every opinion.
I'm tired of being called lazy by people who can't even take care of themselves.
I'm tired of having to lie, and say that I'm fine when I'm not.
I'm tired of being told that I'm loved, and then being hated the very next day.
I'm tired of being spited, and having people go out of their way to make excuses to insult me.
I'm tired of being watched every second because nobody trusts me.
I'm tired of people talking about me behind my back when they think I can't hear.
I'm tired of all of this, and I don't know how much more I can take.

I just want to scream and cry and break everything.
I'm just so tired.

...Tell them. Tell everyone who is doing this to you. If they don't understand, make them. This is not acceptable behavior from anyone, ever. You live... profile isn't giving much info, let's look at timezones. Somewhere in the eastern US? I don't think that's forum default. I will smack the **** out of everyone out there. You deserve better then this.

((Sorry, anger management issues. But seriously, tell them. You deserve better.))

I just want to scream and cry and break everything.
I'm just so tired.

The feels, I'm having them.  As a fellow depressive, one excercise that *I* (and, maybe you?) find helpful to pull through the more... difficult moments, is to look for any single counter-example.

Depression leads to absolutist thinking (*everyone* is terrible; *nothing* is right, *the whole world* is made of jerks, etc) - sometimes, all it takes to keep going is to recall that one, single thing that *is* working.  Even if all it does is move my mind from *nothing is good* to *everything except this thing is awful, it's a small step.

Also, have you tried taking a nice, long stroll?  Once again, *I* (not necessarily you) find that when my feet are moving, my brains calm down.  Probably has something to do with blood flow and oxygen levels.

If this is a regular mood/outlook for you, it might also be fruitful to have a blood check for potential thyroid problems.

Best to you, mastahcheese!

I haven't done anything all day, but I am exhausted. I went to go get dinner and on the way back I nearly collapsed, managing to make it to a couch in the common room. The upper floor where my room is is basically uninhabitable right now. The housing office is actually posting papers warning of the signs of dehydration and kidney failure. Fuck this heat.
