You know what did have a plot? My Design essay. I remembered it in a variety of ways, but I used Objective to help me on a short section.

The design argument is the best objective proof for God's existence, as it is empirical and a posteriori...(Etc.)

I kept forgetting "Objective proof" until I associated it with Objective :P

Level of Pretentiousness from a 1/End of Assassin's creed 2?

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Haven't actually finished AC2, but I'd be willing to guess that they were equally as ham-handed. No progress was made in the plot--only a slow reveal of a cyclical argument, which was then rehashed over and over again to no effect. There was a great deal of mysterious, effectively meaningless writing/dialogue, the driving motivations of the plot actually didn't make any sense, there was no sense of urgency or logical underpinning for the pseudophilosophical musings on the soul that had apparently infected the plot and maneuvered it over the proverbial cliff.

In terms of games that are putting in an effort to tell a story, this is probably the worst I've seen.

This is an awful time to be awake. Who the fuck thought 7:30 AM was a good time for a final exam. Urgh. Night shifts have made me unaccustomed this this sort of early hour horseshit.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Haven't heard anything from the temp agency I signed up for.

I wonder if I should have lied about my medical history.

I applied to several temp agencies when I was unemployed and never heard back from a single one. I think they just take in any old application and only bother with people who already have a shitton of experience/qualifications.

Thought I got an A in chemistry this semester.

Bombed the final. Ended up with a solid B.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I don't think that quite counts as bombing. A little lower than you thought, yeah, but hardly bombed it.

No, he literally caused an explosion. It wasn't large enough to qualify for an A, though.

I like the concept behind this chemistry class.
