No wedding photos. Camera was dead when they tried to turn it on. That said, it was just a courtroom. It's not like we spent a hundred thousand dollars on decor.

You chose wisely. Just, so wisely.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Although, if you DID spend a hunnerdthou, then presumably someone would have been paid to check the battery, or at least have a spare. :v

My mom is mentally sick and she's probably never going to get better.

That is very sad but, unfortunately, completely unsurprising at this point, after all the shit she put you through.

Yeah. Just don't know how to deal with it yet.  I feel kind of lost.

My girlfriend is having a panic attack, and I'm 2000 miles away still trying in vain to comfort her. Long distance relationships are tough... :<

NO. Because MLP is DUMB.

Nah, I just never got into it. I watched the first episode and thought to myself, "Well, I don't really care enough to watch the second, so I guess I'm done."

On a related note, does anyone know a good way to lessen/get rid of a panic attack? Could be useful right now.

Focus on breathing. Basically, start meditating. If you're talking to her on the phone, you can help her count her breath. Have her breathe in slowly, hold her breath for a moment (CRUCIAL SO YOU DON'T HYPERVENTILATE), release slowly. Breathe in from the stomach first, and then the ribcage.

Citation: I've been having panic attacks for at least the past five years.
