Well, I don't judge richness in monetary terms anyway. I judge it in quality of life, and personally, I hate shopping with a passion. A shopping spree would kill me from pure boredom.

Also, I'm miserly with my money. I've saved nearly every penny I earned.

Edit: Though, I do live in a big farm house and have more than one car. Three in total, and a shed load of broken, ancient ones. And four tractors, three diggers and a dumper truck. No garage at all, though, funnily enough.
Some people are not developed enough to view happiness as true wealth. I tend to view wealth as happiness instead, because it distracts me from the crippling meaninglessness of my pathetic existence.

Honestly, I don't think it's the rich that are hated, so much as the obscenely rich.

I don't have much of a problem with anyone who's worth a few million.  When you get into the tens of millions and especially the billions, the fact that you can live a life of excessive luxury and never come close to burning through all your wealth starts to be a factor in my ability to offer respect.  When that wealth is used to corrupt politics, which seems to be a popular hobby among billionaires, the genuine (and in my opinion justified) hate really kicks in.
Just like my dad's friend said after watching "The Wolf of Wall Street": "People are okay with us businessmen. It's men like this who are hated, and rightly so."

Ugh, why do I feel so sick again, I just got over this shit.

I view happiness as adventure, which is more safer if you're rich.

I actually remember now how a super-ultra-rich-oligarch-dad-model-mom-a-harem-anime-episode-worth-of-maids-in-a-huge-mansion friend of mine from high school used to tell me that money doesn't bring happiness. While sloshing out his brains with 500-dollar-a-bottle-liquor in a company of boobjobbed girls who giggled idiotically at his every remark.

So, 5 minutes before the end of shift today, they annouced mandatory 10-hour days for next week, starting Monday. In other words, literally the last fucking second that they are physically able to notify us. It's times like this that I am both relieved and annoyed that I do not own a tank.

1. I think communism and socialism would work better now that we're in the digital age- as long as you're happy to abandon most privacy laws.
2.

Tim Minchin knows
3. Thought about the idea of instituting a law that personal holdings over 1 billion, and company holdings over 10 billion are taxable by the government. Realized it would be great for the economy- and then your nation's businesses would ditch.

Thought there was actually space in spacecat's avatar.
There wasn't.
I then planned to pull apart the gif, make the eye slightly transparent and then stick a rotating galaxy under there.
But paint.net couldn't.
So now I sit.

Good news though, GIMP is a free image manipulation program that can handle gifs. Testing it out on a downloaded file of the gif from imgur, and it works. Even labels each frame...or maybe the anon who made the gif did that originally. Anyway, works. Now I kinda want to try that idea myself. so many layers tho oh man

So yeah, gimp is a viable free option for all your giffing needs.

So, I've been playing Call of Pripyat lately, and I was out near Noah's barge, and decided to check in on him. So I get to the door, stand at the side, because he always shoots at you when you open the door, open it, and nothing. No shot. I open the door all the way, and all there is is his shotgun, sitting on the floor. No Noah, no pet Pseudodog, nothing. I  don't know how he died, or when, but dammit, I liked him.

Well they are going to put my dog down on Monday...

That is pretty devastating... I won't really say too much more then that.

Open Source programmers seem to make it their duty to make their programs as aggressively user-unfriendly as possible.
