But no, joking aside I don't have an irrational reaction to them. But I've had bad experiences with people who use the word 'trigger' just so that they can shape their world how they like it, and it's drained my sense of compassion regarding them.
So what should people call the things that cause severe post traumatic episodes or at least extreme anxiety when talked about? Or events in a recovering addict's life that could cause a relapse? I mean, you don't seem to like the word 'trigger,' so we obviously need to find a new word, right?

Pnx

Nightmares, Insomnia
Fatigue, the whole trifecta
This doth sucketh much

Sad haiku is sad.
But very nicely-written.
Really? I just hacked it together when I realised that nightmares and insomnia were two and three syllables (at least that's the way it feels to my tongue).

The first and last sentences in a haiku can be replaced with "refrigerator", which makes haiku-writing much simpler.

Depends what you call a syllable and how you emphasise the word. If you're pronouncing the last part "Nya" like I do, then it's really three syllables in my humble opinion, but if you're emphasising every letter and pronounce it "knee-ah", then yeah it's four.

So, the Ultimate Warrior (of WWF/WWE) fame died. Slowly, one by one, all the idols of my childhood are dying. Curse you mortality!

Also:

Catholicism
Confidentialitiy
Cannibalism

But....it makes no sense!...Catholicism isn't confidential, and isn't full of flesh eating cannibals

Also vampirism I guess, but I think the cannibalism overrides that.
