Had an IT assignment to hand in.
It was in python, so I assumed it was easy.
So I left it until the last hour before deadline.

Easy does not mean Small.

Silver lining, I've learned a valuable lesson.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Went to the loo, and half of what came out was liquid.

My bowels aren't having a great time, presently. Hopefully, it was a one-off, because I don't feel ill whatsoever.

Quote from: Arikaans assignment

Welp, ideology clash ahoy. Also, there are 15 words in the Old Testament about homosexuality. Only 15, which boil down to "don't do it", in the same book as "Don't mix cloths" and that kind of thing. The one other place it's mentioned? 1 Corinthians (written by Paul, who wasn't exactly tolerant of people who disagreed with his beliefs) 6:9, lumping "homosexual offenders" in with the greedy, drunkards, idolaters, and swindlers as people who "will not inherit the kingdom of heaven."

Yeah the Bible rants on about this at length, doesn't it?

Edit: Added a translation.

...Is this an assignment for language class? Because...

It was a language assignment. I wrote ~40 words on it, because I didn't feel like fighting with my teacher or writing down things I don't believe.

@Dutchling That's one of the few places Afrikaans isn't Dutch. Place 'Nie" at the beginning and the end of the negative statement, unless you used one of the other negatives etc. Unless that's not what you meant.

Over here in New Zealand, it's pretty much illegal to do anything academic involving religion unless you're studying religion history.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Starting a highly addictive habit with mind altering drugs isn't something you should recommend to anyone.

It's a good thing he didn't do either of those things, then!

That'd be just terrible.

(I'm assuming you mean "Mind-altering" like LSD or something, hallucinations and such. If you just mean... at-all mind-altering... That's a pretty open statement. Best not to read, that'll alter your mind. Or drink coffee. Or get scared? Adrenaline, yo!)

UltraValican, you're not pathetic. Not by a long shot. I know everyone here agrees with me, too.
