Well Christianity is completely OK with rape, as long as you're not raping a virgin, but even if you do, it's all alright as long as you marry her afterwards.
eh, what? That's news to me. (I actually don't think that's entirely true. :P All Christians I've met, regardless of denomination, have been completely loathing of rape.)
Usually only if it falls into their narrow definition of rape.

I'm a Christian. I'm entirely against rape in all its forms. Every Christian I know (having attended five or six churches across the country) has been entirely against rape in all its forms. It is not true that the average Christian is okay with any form of rape.

I think we're bordering on a No True Scotsman fallacy on both sides.

But I do think that the truth lies close to what Arx is saying. Most people are inherently decent people.

Gentlemen, Ladies and people who choose not to disclose their gender, please, let's not argue about religion. It's an extremely inflammatory topic and will not convince anyone of anything. Christianity is against violence in any form as a part of its basic dogma, but this hasn't stopped people from waging wars, so I wouldn't be surprised if its opposition of lust and adultery has failed to stop some rapists as well throughout history.

Now let's talk about something else.

Why would you try to end a conversation and take part of it within the same paragraph? Hypocrisy never actually works.

It was supposed to be a "there are rapists and non-rapists in every sufficiently large group of people" argument to defuse the situation.

That's still taking part in the conversation though.

Okay fine, I'm a hypocrite and took part in a conversation after saying we should stop it.

Only in Bay12 would me saying something akin to "Blood for the Blood God!" Start a heated religious debate in which a respect for the Antichrist is expressed.

You're all horrible people. Ain't it wonderful?

And that's my last say on the matter, in the form of a joke, so conversation is now over.

I would suggest that you maybe not take it personally?
A group does not define its members. I doubt anyone was trying to say that Christians are all Horrible People™.

I think I have some kind of flu.
My throat is sore, my sneezing is explosive and my feel a cold sting in all of my joints once in a while.
Hopefully some rest will help.

Sickness continues.
Fever has remained the same, which is good, considering.
Joints are aching, but that's not really unexpected.
Overall, condition is the same.
