Of course we use paper. How else do you write in exam conditions? Best to have the practice. I'm writing one out now  :(

Darned R.E. essay on The Problem of Evil and Suffering.

*holds up stacks of paper*

Yes we do paper.

...Yeah, I'd love to try balancing my checkbook with those methods. :D

W-writing? You mean ...

there are people who still use paper?

Next you'll be telling me you balance your checkbook using a cuneiform stylus and clay tablets.

I do.

Having cuneiform spines doesn't count.

Clay?  How nouveau of you.  I only use wooden tablets, the highest in the pre-Neolithic fashion.

Came home from work today to find that my mum had been out all day with harmeoni from the temple (not our literal grandmother, mind you) helping her with navigating the banks.  That's all and good, but the reason this needed to be done?  Her son was stealing her Social Security checks right out from her bank account.  I mean, stealing a pensioner's money?  Stealing from your own mother?  I know both of them happen, but both at once, and seeing it happen, it's just depressing.

I don't think anything more will come of it since there isn't really a legal crime that happened (he did have full access to it, after all), and it doesn't seem like she wants any further family drama regarding the matter.  On the bright side, he's going to get a bit of a surprise when he tries to withdraw money from that account, now that it's been closed and she's opened a new account he doesn't have access to.

My geometry isn't fit for any writing surface in this dimension.

I think deep and hard about what I want to talk about.
And then vaguely cross my eyes and begin slamming the keyboard.

Which is why I sometimes make sense.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Peanuts, individually, come in two halves, with a papery skin, and around that a rugose husk which houses 1d4 such peanuts. But back to the peanut, each one has a radicle, a tiny peanut-boner sticking out from between the two halves. This typically breaks off when the peanut halves are separated, which is how this jar of peanuts is packaged: just a bunch of peanut-halves. And the radicles, being smaller, tend to sift and descend in the container, and as you eat the peanuts you are hardly ever eating the radicles. But they're there. Waiting at the bottom. Until there are no halves left.

I just poured an entire handful of peanut dicks in my hand and ate them.

And this made you sad?

I'm just in one those moods today, where it just feels that I'm trapped in my lifestyle of loneliness. I don't know if I could ever acclimate to any kind of close personal relationship.

Even though it's the thing I feel makes me miserable, I don't know if I have the raw ability, capacity, or even willingness to alter it. It's scary to think about.

I just don't know what to think or do, I feel lost. Though I suppose that's a pretty usual feeling for me.

Indeed it is tough. The only advice I can give you I guess... Is to know yourself and what you are looking for.
