My favorite pair of pants ripped. Now all i have are jeans, and i do not like jeans.
I don't either. There's just something about the texture of denim that I cannot stand.

I do not have non-jeans pants, I think.

Oh, what made me sad today is remembering that r/mensrights is a place that still exists and has somehow not been shutdown yet. It's basically a bunch of straight white cis guys whining about how they don't have as much power as they used to and talking about how rape is okay when they do it. I'm just wonder how this place has not been taken down since they literally say that rape is okay. Did she say no? Well that's okay, she probably wants it anyway. Is she ignoring you at a bar because you're a fat loser who hasn't showered in a week and wears trenchcoats and fedoras and sleeps with Pinkie Pie plushies? Slip some drugs in her drink and feel like a hero by taking her home and taking advantage of her while she's passed out. If she tells anyone about it, say she's lying and call her a whore or a slut, and then make up statistics about how the majority of rapes are falsely reported. (I believe it's something like 5%, whereas the percentage of rapes that go unreported is far higher.) If that doesn't work, call her a femi-nazi and tell everyone she just hates men. Also, remember, trans women are legally required to wear signs saying that they are trans, and if they don't, they are lying to you and trying to trick you into sleeping with them, even if you were the one who hit on them in the first place. Never take responsibility for your own actions or ignorance. Always assume that everything is someone else's fault, because that's the manly way of doing things!

If you are using this particular snippet as being representative of the whole, you are either exaggerating how bad it is as the whole, or just picked a bad example for it.

The trolls in the two last comments aside, what exactly is your issue with the first post in that picture? I do not see how a person who voluntarily and with the knowledge of the effects consumes a mind-altering substance is not responsible for the decision he or she makes while under the influence of the substance. If you were to treat a person who is drunk as unable to take responsibility for their decisions, you should decriminalize DUI by the same logic.

Obviously, if neither of those are met the person responsible is a scumbag who should be treated the same way as though he or she used any other thing that limits the victim's ability to decide whether to consent or not, but the post you linked is explicitly talking about voluntary  use of a mind-altering substance by the person whose consent is in question.

One last thing, I'd rather you didn't use the Internet Asshat: Euphoria Prime Model stereotype because, all things about judging people by appearance aside, it's somewhat audience-alienating. I can think of some people here to whom this would at least partially apply.

I'd say that drunken hookups differ from DUIs in that there can be somebody in control of themselves moving the situation along, and if there is then there's a pretty steep power imbalance. It's one thing for two people to get drunk together and then have an embarrassing one night stand, but it's another to either get somebody drunk specifically to make them more likely to have sex with you, or to approach somebody who's already drunk because they're more likely to have sex with you. Alcohol doesn't make sex automatically rape, no, but it does complicate the assessment.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

That's a good point - I made a somewhat ungrounded assumption that both parties are at least slightly buzzed.

Still, if you are drinking in a public place, you should take in account that factor when you're deciding whether or not to consume alcohol. Or at least more alcohol.

Now, I obviously have no intention on blaming the intoxicated person if someone else tries to be a poor man's Machiavelli; hell, you could try to criminalize that, I wouldn't mind much. But I do not think that you can equate that with rape unless he is the one who arranged for the person to drink unwittingly or unwillingly.

Wait, we're missing something important here.

People complain about sleeping with plushies? Pinkie Pie or otherwise?

Pshaw, anyone worked up over something as ridiculous as that isn't worth your time. The plushie likely has more respect for you, despite being unable to provide respect.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Feeling rather weak, tired and unproductive. Didn't buy headphones either because they were expensive. Internet is acting up so I can't play much of anything. Not that I would because again, tired and unfocused, and it would only serve to piss me off.

Also my father commenting on the tablet on the table (that I had to move so he could use the computer), that sad comment, that isn't bad in and of itself, but the way it's said. "Oh, that's what you're wasting time with, eh?"

Yeah sure, I'm using my time off to do something I love while also being productive. But of course if it's not something that can make money or is actively studying and helping move forward my uni education then it's fucking useless and I should feel bad for doing it.

Meh.

If I don't know if someone can consent or not, then it's not time to solicit them for sex.  It doesn't matter if I put them in that state or not.

Pretty much this. They may have been okay with the prospect, but ultimately if you don't know its better off not to.
