Having a breadless lunch, because I had no idea the supermarket I was going to was doing an inventory today, which meant that I got in five minutes before closing which meant no bread :C

It's hard to eat healthier food when the stuff tastes so terrible. Especially when its all stuff I'd normally enjoy: lettuce, apples, grilled chicken, craisins, walnuts, and cheese. But everything about this particular dish is so very unappetizing...I blame the blue cheese mostly (never had it before today, will probably not have again), but the lettuce is old, the chicken dry, and I think some of the moldy cheese has migrated to the apples. Waste of my food money.

There are days when you feel so shitty that the only way to face the world is from within a sleeping bag, armed with a bunch of junk food and video games. Which is to say, to not face the world at all and instead retreat entirely. This is one of those days I guess?

As to my own food-related woes, I cannot eat enough. As in, I think I would eat to my physical limit and still feel hungry if I let myself. Being ill is terrible.

I really should have done that instead of ordering what I did. I typically love salads but that one was just awful.

Salads... salad dressing is like the most hilarious thing ever. "Get healthy food, pour five meals worth of unhealthy on it, eat." The first time I checked the nutrition/ingredients list on salad dressing I ended up boggling at it for like a minute straight because what. And that was with the like diet variant or whatev'. Crazy stuff.

I am yet to find a cake that goes good with chilli beans and wieners. Tho I have rectified the problem by dinner since the nearby shop opened again, also grabbed a beer while I was at it, damn fine meal that was.

Also also, the only dressing any salad ever needs is a bit of salt, some oil and vinegar (red wine based one, can't recall the proper term). Anything else is turning it into a different meal.

Sometimes I use squeezed lemon juice in place of vinegar.
