Just found out that one of the reps I worked with was killed in a car wreck last night. He was on a route that I drove frequently.

My grandfather's cancer has progressed to the point where he has days to live. I knew this was coming eventually, but...

One of the people I'm on Drug Court apparently killed himself. I found about this today at court. I wasn't close to him or anything, but damn yo.

Powder, I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know what to say to you, but you have my sympathy.

MZ and Hans, too. That all sounds very nasty. :(

Finish for the day. Get dinner. Sit down to enjoy dinner and relax. Get phone call? From boss? Wants me to do another job?

...fack.

I realized today that if I really wanted to, I could seriously hurt someone with my bare hands if I wanted to.
I feel kind of dirty now.

I'm sad and I can't sleep. And I can't sleep because I'm sad and I'm sad because I can't sleep.

Someone drank all my whiskey. It may have been me, but I'm not sure.

I dunno if I could defeat any random person in a fistfight, but I know for sure I could murder someone with my hands if I had a little bit of surprise and some planning. And I usually have a boxcutter on me, which could be very dangerous if used properly. It doesn't bother me to know I could kill people, because most people could kill a person under appropriate circumstances. Thankfully, nowadays violence is more of a distant thing for the vast majority of people. You are a lot less likely to get stabbed to death today than you would be four hundred years ago, which is comforting.

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I could defeat most random people in a fistfight. I don't have the physical tools that some people (athletes, excessively large people, etc,) have, but attaining a higher than average rank in multiple martial arts systems puts me in pretty good company. Of course, with the random element, and my luck, I'd draw Chuck Norris, who would promptly kick my face in.

I've been a lot more aware lately of just how high human jaw strength is. Remember kids, enamel is the strongest substance produced by the body. If it's enamel vs. bone, bone loses. My point being that for most people, the most successful strategy you are going to have fighting somebody is to pick a body part and try to bite it off.

Punching someone the throat is at the very least a short incapacitation and leaves them weakened for further attacks. At the very best, they just choke and die because you smashed their windpipe shut. Basically, humans are both very tough and hilariously flimsy, at the same time.
