My pathfinder game ended... I stopped being able to meet every Saturday and that was the only day most of the players could meet.

... *sigh*

I'd like to go to Scotland for university. I'll probably do my masters there. We'll see!

Yeah, Scottish students get free university education. English have to pay student fees, with a maximum of 9000 pounds, meaning all the universities charge 9000 pounds year. And then you have to add student accomadation and food and arrghhghhhhh so muchhhhh

Oddly enough that is quite common in places that have free public services is that they charge foreigners.

I think even Canada charges for hospital visits for people who aren't Canadians.

It's not even foreigners, it's just the English. Like, if Edinbrugh accepted my application, I woulda studied for free there.

I wish, Darvi. As it is, no, you have to be European.

It's like they have 3 levels of Foreigners. "In Britain but Not Scottish" = Paying. "Out of Britain, In Europe" = Not paying (or at least, not as much) "Out of Europe" = Paying again.

Bloody Scottish :P

To admit England does like to mess over their neighbors for fun and take an almost fiendish delight in it.

Descan gets it in a nutshell. When it comes to university student classification English people are foreigners, they are just on a certain level of foreigner.

To be honest in some localities/social circles the lowest level of "foreigner" means you come from a different county, or indeed the other side of the same county. I'm speaking from a rural, insular perspective there though.

I think he was trying to say that the tables have turned. We won't get away with the free EU students thing for long though, I think something's in the works to get that changed/reformed.

Called my father as it is his birthday, but I really should have done so in the morning rather than the evening. Even when nothing bad happens, I hate talking to him when he's drunk.

Spent a good chunk of yesterday with a friend. We watched Withnail and I which was even better than I remembered. Spent most of today alone and felt really lonely. My mood hasn't swung like this in ages.
