Hi!

In my expert opinion as a professional mental patient, none of us would be sad again if we were the characters portrayed in our avatars.

In my case, that would be absolutely true: Being Tama or Miki and thus living in their world of warm friendliness and innocence - that would be real happiness for me.

Unfortunately neither their nor their world exist in reality. And your comment made me spend some thoughts on that and thus quite aptly made me sad (T_T).

A lot of people think being a wolf would be badass, and I guess it would be in fantasy, but in real life, it would suck. I would be happy as a spray paint picture, I guess...
(I should do another one sometime soon)

An' yer fancy new contrivances like crutches an' splints. When I were a lad, ye just crawled around, trailin' yer mangled limbs behind ye, 'cus thur WAS no beds, speakin o' beds, the ex-travvy-gaunt use o' them these days is disgustin'. When I wus jus' a lad, it were a luxury t' sleep on th' floor. My family were so poor we dint e'en 'ave floors! We slept on th' ice on th' murky pools. Speakin' o ice, winters ain't what they was...

W'en I was yer' age, we didn't even get to sleep on rocks! Rocks were reserved for the higher-ups to sleep on. We had to sleep in the spike pit.

I'd be a bald dwarf wearing armor hunting aliens.

My job continues to make me sad.  It bothers me that I can't devote my time to more worthwhile work, because the system values repairing the damage done to nature and wildlife injured by human action at less than half of what they value a Cubical-Monkey who performs the work of a calculator and scanner/copier.

Unless you can put a pricetag on it, it seems as though it just isn't that important to modern man.

I already am an upside-down pixelcat, of course, so I don't quite know how things would be different if I matched my avatar.

Back when I was young, I had to sleep IN SPACE. And you'd get woken up every five minutes by meteorites bouncin' off your skull...

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

As awesome for him it may seem, it's a shame he'll have to undergo 13 years of annoyance starting next year. I'm going to my nephew's preschool graduation soon. The thought of what he won't realize (for a good amount of time, maybe until middle school) saddens me to a degree. Hopefully he'll have a better time in school than I did in my years.

Mechwarrior4 torrent is stealing all my bandwidth...
Are you torrenting through MTX? its much faster to get the torrent through a normal torrent program (like utorrent).

I tried MTX, but it froze up at about 99%, so I ended up using utorrent instead.
Doesn't matter now though, I've got it downloaded and have been playing, mostly just screwing around with controls and mech variants.
