Yes well, I don't DO luck, not the good kind anyway.

Anyway, my new "friend with benefits" is a huge emotional mess. I have been down this road before. I do not need this kind of drama.

The TRICK is to open yourself to as many opportunities for... opportunities (shut up it works) as possible. Like, dating sites, walkin' in the park, etc. EXPOSE YOURSELF! (Not that way)

Just... no rot art. Please? Guro makes baby squirrels cry.

... I'm not even sure if squrrels can cry, but... whatever. It's too late for silly things like physiology and fact to get between a statement and its expression.

Anyway. Just... do what you can until you can do more, I guess. S'how th'folks around me deal with that, anyway. Wait for retirement equivalent, they do, and do their little bits in between until then.

I think he means, I want to do art and not rot.
Not he wants to make art out of dead bodies.

I think.

Pff.... no one from my generation is ever going to retire :P

And yeah... I have my personal collection of art gathered from all over the web (mostly zbrushcentral) running on slideshow on my tablet.  Just dwelling on how my motivation to do art is killing my motivation to do my job, but by the time the work day is over I won't have motivation to do anything.

So, I was going through old emails, looking for old Pixel Art jobs for a potential new client of mine. While doing this, I came across something I'd apparently missed in my Inbox. This is why it's important to check your emails, kids:

Past self? Fuck you. Just fuck you, forever.

I... okay, I should have posted this in the Rage thread, because right now? I seriously want to scream and destroy things. Then invent time travel, not to go back and accept the job from Notch, but to kick my past self's lazy, not-email-checking ass, for about 5 days straight.

And then go back to the present, and sob softly as I eat 88-cent beans out of a tin can. Because fuck my broke-ass starving artist wreck of a life forever, with something hard and sandpapery.
