Descan is the modernized form of the god of joy and laughter.

...You invoked him.  :P

Yes.

You have to turn around three times, wiggle your tush, and say "Hay guuuuurl!"

Cities:
Toronto: Business
Vancouver: Weed
Montreal: Art
Ottawa: Politics

There. You now know as much about Canadian cities as any Canadian does.

Vancouver: Weed

Vancouver is also one of the digital art capitals of the world.  There are multiple prestigious art schools and studios there and I've seen a few prominent CG artists refer to it as a "digital art mecca".

Yeah, there's that.

Vancouver: Hippies and nerds

Montreal: Traditional art and "culture" :P

It's that time again, the time where you start to feel dejected and worthless. Damn it brain, it's not yet time. -_-

Why do some people (including me) suffer depression from time to time? I hate this feeling.

Yeah, I understand your pain. I have waves of depression sort of like yours and they can just come out of nowhere sometimes. I hope it passes soon!

I've heard Calgary referred to as "Canada's Dallas", if that's anything to go by.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Need to distract myself so as to prevent myself from pondering the supposed futility of life. D:

Try drugs! Not serious.

Really, depression happens to me too. Emotions have to go down when they go up, but vice versa is the case. Just do something reptitive like playing games or browsing TV Tropes, that generally makes me feel better.

I have scoured everything there is to see on TvTropes. As such, I derive no joy from that particular website. And my prose is so sickeningly purple. Dx

Nonsense. It's a pleasant fuchsia.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Try Cracked.com, then. Constantly updating! Don't take it as fact, though. It's primarily a humor website, not Wikipedia.

Maybe he needs something of more value and substance than mere amusement.

Not that I have any good suggestions for that, though. For me, it was finding love.

Well, depends on the type of depression. Usually for my lapses into melancholia (purple prose HO~) amusement does me good. Also writing, occasionally. Though creativity is one of the things that tends to go when I get depressed.
