It's like a funfair. We put Sydney up to attract all of the tourists away from all the better places. During off seasons, there actually isn't a city called Sydney, just a small hotel called "Sid's Knee". :P

Sydney: the only place in australia anybody not australian knows anything about.
They know a little about CBD at least... Who even cares about Penrith anyway? Not me, I spend my time in Sydney in Rhodes!

We have...
Sydney: The Australian capital.
Canberra: Worlds largest round about.
Melbourne: Hipsters be here!
Brisbane: That place dad took you on vacation.
Darwin: Its like if the wild west was full of water and deadly animals.
Perth: Nobody knows, because nobody has ever come back!
Hobart: Formally known as Innsmouth.
Hey, what about Adelaide!

Sydney: A big city filled with industry and OH GOD THE WEST
Canberra: Nothing goes on here. Oh, and it's our capital.
Brisbane: everyone's mad there
Darwin: Sometimes a city. And apparently so humid your clothes rot.
Perth: I don't know anything about it.
Hobart: It's a nice place, if it got rid of the RIGHT TURNS ONLY system they have.
Adelaide:

...

...

...

Where's Adelaide? What about Adelaide?
I will destroy you, Reudh.

Umm... I know it has that building with the crazy roof... and there's a dentist at P Sherman Wallaby Way.

I never spent much time in Redfern.
I lived in Lane Cove for a while. Hoo boy is that a yuppy suburb. They had a sign as you came in saying 'You must be this white to enter'

When I think of Australia I think of our Crown Princess and the Opera house in Sydney, since hey, a Dane designed it apparently.

Living in a small country that missed all of it's 10 or more shots for achieving permanent great power status, who have spend the last thousand years doing nothing but loose territory to neighbours, because hey, kings felt beer took priority to winning the wars they themselves declare, means we have to find our pride in the little things done outside our own borders.

And so we're reminded constantly of every good thing some Dane did that other countries recognize to feel better about our insignificance.

It's insane.

Not that I'm above it myself.

I think you will find Jørn Utzon was in fact an Australian, as much as pavlova and Julia Gillard!

A Guide to the Counties and Cities of Ireland!

Westmeath: the midlands. The very midlands. Lakes and forest everywhere.
Meath: A slightly lesser version of Westmeath.
Kerry: Strange, vaguely Welsh accents and lots of wind.
Mayo: Every town has a graveyard bigger then itself and all the land is kinda dead.
Dublin: Where if you squint your eyes and put in earplugs, you could mistake it for an American city if you don't pay attention.
Cork: Larger version of Dublin that somehow nobody cares about.
Belfast: There's a museum to the Titanic because having one to the Troubles would be very politically incorrect. Don't go up on the Twelfth of July: that's when everyone crazy goes out and beats up whoever hasn't had the presence of mind to evacuate Belfast.

The fact that pavlova is definitely not Australian leads me to believe that none of the things you just described are. Hm... Hah, I never realized Gillard is from Wales. Huh.

when you Aussies finally give that daft mare Julia Gillard the boot, dont send her back to us here in the UK. Send her to somewhere where she cant cause trouble. like Mars (it is the red planet after all).

It's that time again, the time where you start to feel dejected and worthless. Damn it brain, it's not yet time. -_-

Why do some people (including me) suffer depression from time to time? I hate this feeling.
