That's uh... really terrible.
I'm sad to say that I'm used to it. I spend most of my money on comfort food and caffeine so I can actually sleep at night. My only comforts outside of that would be porn, anime and video games. Even when I'm in my room for most of the day it's still some kind of hell without the only other stable one in this apartment being here to support me and keep order.
No one listens to me or respects what I want here outside of that person. I have almost no rights here save the right to shut up and deal with it by staying in my room most of the day and only going out to pet the current housing manager's Golden Retriever and occasionally volunteer my services to both the incredibly low-functioning and the technologically inept. At least my landlord thinks I'm a good tenant.
Wait, you have 4 roommates? Does that mean, like, 5 of you crammed into an apartment?!
My college offers apartment housing for 6 people at a time, so 5 isn't much of a stretch if the place is big enough.
Here at this assisted living facility the downstairs apartment has about fifteen people while the upstairs apartment will soon have six. The sattelite house has I think six people at any given time. All in all there are about at most twenty-eight people in this complex at any time in a total of three apartments.
