The cup of piss has spoken. Do it.

And I may as well embrace it now that I have it.  Id like to sig that.  (You guys are either the first to mention it or notice it, at least en mass.  Stupid smart people).  Pisskop is an inspiration, not a cup of urine!

Welp, that's that. HP is keeping 30% of the contract. Guess who has two thumbs and a job that isn't in that 30%?

That sucks. The company I work for is doing a fair bit of IT hiring in the area around Virginia (Charlottesville, Fairfax, Quantico), and Washington D.C. And you already have the clearance for at least some of those jobs. They also have a job listed at Ft Bragg, NC but it is for a principal software engineer.

Still a couple of options open. Lockheed may attempt to rebadge us as theirs (which I wouldn't mind). Failing that, yeah...I'm seriously considering looking for work around Charlottesville, to find a way to get my foot in the door at the intel center.

My mother just spent $80 of mine that I don't have yet because she didn't pay the water bill, and now I have to pay back her sister because my parents refuse to get jobs. FUCKING DAMN IT!

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

I opened up a can of whoopass on my modem.  It fell off the dresser and I didn't notice, and accidentally slammed it back against the dresser with the wheel of my chair, knocking the plastic housing for the internet cable off.  I managed to pull the casing off and find the piece that broke, then wedge it back in its place and get everything working, but my dad came over and broke it again trying to hook up his computer.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
