Because it's super-logical to put the days in front of the months. :/

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

The only reason I use the U.S. dating system at all is because I can't get dates in Europe it's required by a lot of professors and government/workplace forms. Which unfortunately keeps me in a state of transition where neither way is entirely internalized.

For many people, yesterday was the end of the world. :(
Eh?
Presumably he's talking about all the people in the world who died yesterday.

Lots of people die everyday :|
Well...yeah. That's life.

I'm not trying to be callous or anything, but people and animals die every day, all over the world (and presumably on other worlds).

Putting them in order makes sense at least, regardless of DD/MM/YY or YY/MM/DD. 's when the month stops being in the middle when it stops making sense.

Order by significant digits is the only thing that makes sense.

YYYY/MM/DD is in order highest to lowest.
All other formats get wonky order

DD/MM/YYYY the first date digit is higher, then lower, then the first month digit is higher then lower, etc.

And this discussion happens while nobody notices that it's impossible to switch 12/21/12 to 12/12/12.

This, but especially because of Syria's SCUD missiles, the bombs Darkling was talking about, the worries of the NK test launch etc.

If it makes you feel better, people are rarely killed by bombs here anymore, most of them are either fake, duds or planted purely as a scare.

I wouldn't be too worried. SCUD missiles aren't exactly very long-range (Which is why they are so evil, their very inaccurate. In a civilain zome)

It's more worrying that that's a chemical weapon transferal system. That's more then North Korea has accomplished, and the US has a Nuclear shield Specifially for the purpose of Norht Korea (Well, technically east asia, but who else is there going to nuke us?)He's getting desperate. He knows that once he can't use them anymore, chemical weapons aren't even a option.

I tend to use US military notation for dates, like 13 Dec 2012. Using the three-letter abbreviation instead of a numeric for month eliminates a lot of confusion. And putting date first allows for quicker calculation of time differentials.

Plus, it's just second nature after growing up steeped in militaria.

It also makes it easier to make the 31 OCT = 25 DEC joke.

Which country's news?
Is it over here with the prison officers being gunned down on the motorway and bombs being found outside playschools, or somewhere else with thousands dying in natural disasters and squalor?

Or here where all that happens is socialists(nothing against any political standpoint btw) throwing shit at right wing politicians like hell, like exposing family things and tax cheating.
While they themselves cheat in tax and the media says jackshit about them and basically praises them as the gods of this world.

Both sides use the same means to get to different ends. I do find one of the false expenses to be quite humorous; a £2 mug was claimed one time I believe.
