Ronnie James Dio died.

He left behind a legacy.  A legacy of rock, and metal, and darkness.  He'll be missed, but his time was over.  Really over.

Well fuck.  My online-testing biology course was a waste of time and money.  I just finished the final exam.  Like every exam before it, questions were mistyped, or miscoded, or had weird answers, or contradicted real information, or were just bizarre.  And I was supposed to take it two days ago.  Now, they did drop all mention of due-dates from the actual grading page, because I guess they received enough complains or had systematic problems.  But fuck.

And I got a 69% anyway.  I didn't check to see what I got right and wrong, because with all the problems in the test it wouldn't matter anyway, and I certainly have no ground to stand on.  Now I'll just have to wait until final grades are posted to see if I have to take the course over again, and scrounge up an extra thousand dollars.

I have to come up with a fictional map. I hate drawing maps--I never know if my roads look like they work.

My father refuses to support my efforts to construct a prohibitively expensive and prohibitively dangerous railgun.  I can't possibly fathom why.

I haven't gotten that far yet.  Poor planning may also play a part, but that's the joy of summer projects, no?

Day job comes first, until it has a chance of being possible. And then just get a grant from the military.

I was looking on the internet for a desktop background that showed one of the more psychedelic CA rules. Do you know what i found?

Nothing.

You have failed me, internet!

If you're lucky, it'll probably cost as cheaply as a new car. Best case scenario, maybe a used one.

I'll quote Piecewise here because he was quite succinct about it.

Are you either a teenager or child? If so:
Quote
put the razor blade down, turn off the my chemical romance and realize that whatever problem you have right now is trivial in the long run. Your parents not getting you a car/ not letting you go to a concert/ making you take off your eyeliner is not a good reason to kill yourself. Yeah I know I know, searing darkness of your soul and goth poetry and so on, its still not worth it.

if you're an adult:

Quote
If you're 20 and over or don't fall into the whiny emo category then I suggest waiting a year. Its pretty good advice to wait a year before doing anything life changing just to see if it still seems worth it, whether it's getting a tattoo or buying a house or lopping your genitals off for the masochistic fun of it. During said year I suggest going to a psychologist to at least talk the problems out and see if that helps. But, if after all that time you still feel equally as terrible as you did when you started then hey, it's your life and your choice.
