Usually the omnicidal is "We're enslaved! But we can DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!"

Though sometimes... there is no reason.

So, I'm typing my term paper, trying to spray (ideas in paragraph forn) and pray (that enough stick and I can find supporting data).  Its going surprising well (master procradtinator: ) ). Until, that is, I type something like this:

'The media. . . simply by neglecting to discuss a point. . . limits one's pool of knowledge. . . although one may quickly reveal with science. . .

???  'with science'?  nooo, that's not A grade material.  Too long here.

I have a pony plushie atop my PC case. Does that count as cutesy shit?

Nope, doesn't count, because it isn't on a mac.

My pc is made of wood and brass and dust and cat hair and chipped finish.

The wood does insulate, on the plus side it isn't as loud as a metal case. Those vertical grey slots on either side that are filled with dust and cat hair? those would be the intake vents. They are full of dust and cat hair because they are filtered, and I should really vacuum them out more often.

That's either absurdly awesome or awesomely absurd.

Why yes, yes it is.

@ashes: that sounds like a textbook case of a psychologically abusive mother, both how she talks and how it's affecting you. And you're dad sounds like he's in denial, or just not getting involved.

It's not you (at all!), it's THEM 100%, especially your mother, in this case.

Beware the absolute.  But I think they are certainly at major fault.

Well, when someone believes they themselves are worthless human beings, and says his mother did stuff like threatened to abandoned the family "because of me" that a 100% giveaway.

Threats of abandonment and "i wish you were never born" etc are the hallmark of child psychological abuse.  Ashes seems to have internalized the criticism to the point he now believes it's true: "the world would be better without me".

If you read the literature, that's exactly what the psychologist say happens in these cases.

The imageboard I have been posting at for a couple weeks now got hacked and now three of the boards have essentially been disabled. This kind of upset me a little bit and I hope the administrators at Aurorachan can fix the problem soon.
