They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

...Why would anyone mute RedKing? I'm actually really surprised; I can't remember him doing anything objectionable pretty much ever.

I don't remember. I said something foolish, he responded... Forcefully, I was like "RAEGPOST! Wait. Better idea. Nicepost, mute the jerk."
Then I read his posts anyway... :D

I ordered more books. Goddammit. One of these days I'm going to crack and start mugging little old ladies for book money.
Fight the money-sucking physical media tyranny! Migrate to digital! Read free things! Bucketloads of them!

There's a lot of free things! More than you can read. By the time you're done with one work, at least one more of equal length and quality has been created and uploaded online! It's great, ahahaha!

Want something mobile, get an ebook reader or one of the cheaper android-type things. Just in books, it can pay for itself in a year or so in the amount you save vs. buying physical. Is good, yes.

Note to self:
Never, ever ride in an ambulance. 1250 AFTER insurance for a trip distance of less than a mile, is seriously fucked up.

Yeah, I would rather walk to a hospital on a broken leg than have ambulance fees. Any extra harm I cause to myself will not cost more than the ambulance would have.

So they can make a profit. A lot of people never end up paying medical fees, so they raise the fees for the ones who do to compensate.

This is a consequence of having a business where you are not allowed to deny customers service.

Why'd you need to ride to hospital? You're not badly hurt, I hope?

Indeed. From the airport to our hotel was 65 pounds. That's like a hundred dollars for a fifteen minute cab ride.

You pay for what you get. It was a 2 hour journey at 1:00AM from the airport to my home in the pouring rain, after the black cab driver already waited 4 hours at the airport due to flight delays (power outage in the airport). Considering how I'd already seen 2 cars crash in those conditions on the return journey, I'd say it was worth the small fortune it cost. Black cab drivers also have to recall all the individual roads of London... By memory. They are no mere taxi-drivers.
They're the one up.

Yeah, you'll not see them consulting atlases or using SatNav.
