Woohoo for irrational self loathing. Today's flavor is thinking I'm annoying to others and that they're just being courteous to me and not saying anything.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

:(

Why would  we lie to you on the internet? You are a charming, funny, all around great guy that had the shit luck to be born into a family of crazies.

Also, /firstworld problems: Psychonauts, the hidden room in Mila's mind. You know the one. Mood whiplash does not begin to describe how grimdark that place is.

I figured :P Mostly.

Why would  we lie to you on the internet?
Good point xD

Punch me in the stomach if I ever really become annoying, people. It's the only way I'll learn.

* kaijyuu should probably play psychonauts one of these days

You should. Buy it on steam. Ten dollars. Also, Steam patched the last level to make the escort mission slightly less annoying. (Only slightly)

Also, everything is foreshadowing. Everything. The designs of the figments? Foreshadowing. Intro cutscene? Foreshadowing. The Mind Screw reel inside your own mind? FORESHADOWING.

I remember trying it out a while back and being mildly squicked out by the brain motif the game has going. I've always been a bit queasy around exposed internal organs; stuff like Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life freaked me out as a kid, what with the popping eyeballs and such. Psychonauts has a brain as the friggin' menu.

I could probably get over it though. On the to do list, you go.

It's not that bad. Until the last level, which is composed of conglomerations of disembodied organs attempting to horrifically maul the helpless escort.

And lots of scenery made of meat.

But seriously...Psychonauts is made of pure win. It's worth $10 for Lungfishopolis alone.

I was made sad by it becoming apparent that people on here have absolutely no idea how to cook things properly.

Says the fellow with a flaming computer as an avatar :P

Seriously though, you don't need to know how to cook "properly". Just how to make it taste good and not set the house on fire. Which is properly s'far as I'm concerned but whatev'!

Which... given a couple posts above, yeah, maybe a bit of learning pains as far as the nothing on fire thing goes. Recipes are for following, initially~ Then you can do stuff like make teriyaki beef broth as a base for stuff like mashed potatoes or mac and cheese.

But still. Any cooking endeavor that ends with nothing unintentionally exploding and no house fire is a successful cooking endeavor. Similarly, any time you manage to live to reach your destination when driving or riding in a vehicle: Success!

You didn't get yourself killed, have a (slightly burnt, sorry~) cookie.

That's probably one of my top 5 soundbites in the whole game. xD

Actually, most of the top soundbites come on that level.
"Oh no, that *was* the orphange! For dogs! It was the puppy orphanage, everyone!"
"He's impervious to bullets....AND LOVE!"

Tim Schaefer, you magnificent, screwball bastard.
